So here's my honest take on Root: Better car insurance. I've tried a bunch of finance apps and this one's pretty solid. The idea of getting discounts for safe driving is genius, and in my experience the app does a good job of tracking that. The rates are way better than my old insurance. But it's not without its issues - the app can be a little buggy at times and the claims process isn't as fast as they claim. Overall though, I'd say it's worth giving a shot if you want to save some money on your car insurance.
