So here's my honest take on PBG - Pittsburgh Brewery Guide. I've tested a bunch of these local discovery apps and this one's pretty solid. The amount of breweries covered is impressive, and the trails and passport features make it more engaging than just a standard directory. The interface is clean and easy to use too. Only real downside is the ads can get old if you don't upgrade. But overall, it's a really handy app if you're a craft beer fan in the Pittsburgh area.

Pros

  • Tons of breweries to discover, over 40 in the app
  • Cool features like curated trails and a digital passport to collect stamps
  • Looks great and easy to navigate, even on older phones
  • Free to download, don't have to pay to access the core features

Cons

  • Ads can get a bit annoying if you don't pay for the Pro version
  • Doesn't have a ton of detailed info on each brewery beyond the basics
  • Might not be super useful if you're not in the Pittsburgh area

Description

Been using PBG – Pittsburgh Brewery Guide for a couple months now. It’s basically a super handy app that helps you discover all the craft breweries in the Pittsburgh area. Pretty solid if you’re a beer lover like me.

Here’s what you can do – you can browse through over 40 different breweries, check out their hours, location, and amenities. There’s also these curated trails that’ll take you on a little tour, which is pretty cool. And you can even get a digital passport to collect stamps and earn prizes, which is a neat little feature.

Look, if you’re into craft beer and exploring new breweries, you’ll probably really like this app. It’s not perfect – the ads can get a bit annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job of being a great local brewery guide. Worth checking out for sure.
