I've tested a bunch of side-scrolling action games and Missing Banban is a pretty solid entry. The controls feel responsive, the levels are well-designed, and the retro pixel art style looks great. In my experience, the difficulty ramps up nicely without being too frustrating. The story is a bit goofy but it adds some charm. My main gripe is that the progression can get a bit grindy at higher levels, but it's still an enjoyable experience overall. I'd recommend it to fans of the genre looking for a fun, casual romp.

Pros

  • Great retro pixel art style
  • Responsive controls and challenging platforming
  • Charming story and cast of characters
  • Free-to-play model is fair, no need to pay to progress

Cons

  • Upgrades and leveling can get grindy after a while
  • Some of the later levels feel a bit repetitive
  • Ads can be annoying if you don't pay for the ad-free version

Been playing Missing Banban for a couple months now. It’s basically an action side-scroller game where you play as a toad sheriff trying to rescue your missing friend. Gotta jump around, shoot enemies, and explore the crazy levels to figure out what happened.

Here’s what you do: You control Sheriff Toadster, dashing around and climbing walls to get through the obstacles. There’s also a bunch of crazy characters you meet along the way. And you get to use different weapons to fight off the bad guys – took me a while to figure out the best strategy but it’s pretty fun once you get the hang of it.

Look, if you’re into retro-style action platformers, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades can take forever and the ads can get annoying. But overall it’s a solid game that does the job. Worth checking out if you want a fun little adventure.
