Description

Been using Libro.fm Audiobooks for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you buy audiobooks through your local bookstore instead of the big online retailers. Pretty solid if you’re into listening to books on the go.

Here’s what you do – you can browse their massive library of over 400,000 audiobooks, including bestsellers and recommendations from real booksellers. There’s also the option to get a monthly membership, which is cool. And you can sync your purchases to the app so you can start listening right away. Took me a bit to figure out all the features but it’s pretty user-friendly overall.

Look, if you’re an avid audiobook listener and want to support your local bookshop, you’ll probably dig Libro.fm. It’s not perfect – the selection isn’t as big as Amazon’s and the app can be a little glitchy sometimes. But it does the job and I’ve found the customer service to be really helpful if you ever have any issues.

Editor Opinion

So here's my honest take on Libro.fm Audiobooks. I've tested a bunch of audiobook apps and this one's pretty solid overall. The big plus is that you're supporting local bookstores instead of the big corporate giants. The selection is still really good, with tons of bestsellers and recommendations. And the ability to sync your purchases and start listening right away is super convenient. The app itself could use some polish, but nothing major. If you're an audiobook fan and want to shop local, I'd definitely recommend giving Libro.fm a try.

The download functionality is so finicky. Since Libro.fm doesn't allow streaming through its app, it makes the app not functional. My phone is old but I know it's a Libro.fm...

Actual customer service? The app is by no means perfect, but I love that I'm supporting my local bookstore and not a greedy billionaire using AI instead of paying voice...
