Been using CaptionCall for a couple months now. It’s basically a captioned phone app that lets deaf and hard-of-hearing folks make calls with live captions. Pretty solid if you need that kind of thing.
Here’s what you do – you can make and receive calls, and it automatically transcribes both sides of the conversation in an easy-to-read format. There’s also a customizable caption display which is pretty cool. And you can use it anywhere with WiFi or mobile data, not just on a landline.
Look, if you’re deaf or hard-of-hearing, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the captions can mess up sometimes – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you need that kind of assistive tech.
