Reviews for µTorrent® Pro - Torrent App

← Back to µTorrent® Pro - Torrent App

Does the job. No problems on Samsung galaxy s9+. Certainly worth paying for. The added extras like battery saving and shut off after downloading and no advertisements cost less than the price of a PINT. UPDATE. It's got even better. On a galaxy note 20 ultra 5g it performs faultlessly. Some of the slight niggles that weren't even worth mentioning have gone. Well done developers. I wish all applications were as good.

I have had this app for over 10 years, never disappointed me. great for entertainment on the go

Someone at utorrent decided it was a good idea to push notify me everyday about their "featured torrent of the day" and "learn how to torrent" with popups. This is the most annoying thing ever. There's no way to turn it off. Turning off notifications on my phone disables the app from being used in the back, breaking the app. If you go through the latest reviews for this app, multiple people said the same. Someone stops this nonsense! EDIT: ITS BEEN 3 MONTHS AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. PLS FIX!

There is no better torrent downloader. Great app.

A free app is better than this. worst purchase without reading all reviews. no resolution got any one who mentioned their issues. just a chat bot reply only. you guys should be ashamed of your service.

Clean ui, no ads, been a great experience so far.

Best ever experience in Pro version of Utorrent (especially away from stubborn Ads)

Today decided to upgrade to the Pro version. However, my excitement quickly turned into frustration as I encountered a persistent "Failed to add torrent" error every time I attempted to download a file. Despite the free version of uTorrent working seamlessly, the Pro version consistently failed to perform its basic function. For anyone considering upgrading to uTorrent Pro, I would strongly advise against it. Stick to the free version, which offers more dependable and hassle free experience.

Needs to be open in order for the downloads to work. Can't use my phone for anything if I want to download coz the app has to be open for the downloads to continue. The downloads themselves are super slow. A 250 mb download can last a week. Coupled with the other issue, you might need a month to get it. Weirdly, the free app worked better despite its ads Just had to delete it. In response to the dev: The app has an issue. I went back to using the free app. And all is well, besides the ads.

It freezes a lot, it sometimes says it has deleted all files and downloaded content when you select that option, but it doesn't really remove the content from your device. sometimes it won't resume a paused download. Sometimes it randomly will not add a file, or it will say it's a duplicate when it's not. But for all the trouble I still give 4 stars because it's a one-time paid app which is rare!!! , it's updated regularly and when it works it works great I'll use it as long as it's usable.

best torrent client I've ever used in my entire life had history with it in middle school days I am happy they have continued their legacy they have kept the same perfect looks and design

I got this to torrent items. I was using the basic uTorrent app at first then decided to buy this one. it fails to load every torrent I try. getting a refund.

Download faster than my previous torrent downloader. Not expecting much but this one really made me wow. With simple user interface, clean and user friendly.

update - I spoke too soon! since my review I've not been able to download any more files... no idea what the issue is and no idea where to get help with it, pretty disappointing after such a great start. :( First time I've used torrents and this app is fairly user friendly and downloads files quickly and without issues. The price of the app is beyond reasonable and I don't know why I waited so long!

Very serviceable, and simple. Would like to see more of the desktop version's features added, especially download location control, but the app is low-cost, and works very well. (I don't care much for the integrated media player, and use VLC for that, since it has integrated volume, subtitle, and other controls. People who are less particular than I am will probably be glad uTorrent has a player integrated – one less app to manage.)

Please help! I can no longer pause and start playing torrents. I've been using utorrent for over a year to study spanish. I was always able to select a lesson and then pause and play as needed. Suddenly there is no longer any way to pause and continue playing. Why? I even deleted the uTorrent app and paid for the pro version. Still the same problem. I'm in the Android environment on a Samsung Galaxy S8, same as I have been for a couple years.

2019 I've been using this app for years now, and I've always been happy with it. There are no issues that I can think of. Works great for me! 2025 So Im still using this app years later, and I love it! Super easy to use, just click the magnet link on the torrents page (like the TPB),and your movie, application, music, r game will automatically start downloading. uTorrent Pro is great and only a few dollars. You only have to pay for it once, it doesn't matter if you get a new phone.

I thought I already did this... Maybe just on the unpayed version though. Simple, clean, straightforward, does everything you want a torrent client to do, and isn't loaded down with a bunch of nonsense you already have other apps for anyway. Give 'em couple bucks if you can spare it, watch an ad occasionally if you can't. Honestly they are pretty inoffensive on the free version, but I'm still happy to support devs who's work I have benefited from for over a decade.

Was a 5 until the update. New UI is a visual headache; file names are huge but download stats are tiny? Lost ability to open videos in 3rd party app by long pressing file; and the included player is missing basic functions that are standard in most players. Files don't seem to show up in Samsung Video app either; might be Samsung's problem but no issues on other torrent apps I've tested. Looks like I will be shopping for a new app. What a shame, I've been loyal for years.

I mean... It downloads, but it's not user friendly or intuitive. I have no idea what the buttons do, and there's absolutely no way to tell which files are downloading if the torrent has multiple files. You cannot see the details of download speeds displayed anywhere, and you have to go find that information by clicking a couple buttons every time. No useful information is displayed in the notification bar. They could learn a thing from tTorrent. I wish the later still worked. Little options.
