I'm so upset. I thought there's an english translation in the app but there's none😭I paid $ for a volume but I'm unable to read it cause it's in korean😢I also can't read in browser where there's google translate because once you pay it will require to download this app to read it. Please fix this. Surely, you don't expect that only koreans are reading in this app cause you have overseas payment method as well.
Reviews for 리디 - 웹툰, 만화, 웹소설, 전자책 모두 여기에!
← Back to 리디 - 웹툰, 만화, 웹소설, 전자책 모두 여기에!Waaahh I'm happy Ridi is accessible for foreigner! And I can even purchase using googlepay 😆😆 This is the first time I'm using ridi cuz there's a novel that i want to read (in another platform) but they have no free ticket for that novel and I can't purchase the cash/ coins. So i'm really happy to find out about this (//∇//) It'll be nice if later the content can be translated to english as well, but i'm already happy enough that i can have an access hehe. Thank you!
I have used ridibooks ios app without any problem. This week I got a Pixel3a phone and realized ridibooks android app is a joke. Everytime I open a book, go next or prev chapter, change a setting of the viewer, it spends a lot of time, literally more than a few minutes. Hope it would be fixed soon.
This app is definitely good for a novel due to variety of stories available but the down side is it's not a international user friendly app. We would appreciate if you could add other language options aside for Korean for other readers all over the world to enjoy using it.
You need to notify people 'visibly' or by push alarm when you change your system. I came back to Ridi been a long time since I was reading a pdf formed book on my laptop. When I came back, the app has changed its system for example, I could not find a button to visit the website. It took me many minutes to find a line that I need to download a new app to look for other books for purchase... it could have been nicer if I could see even a box type of notification where we used to click.
Great variety of contents. So many fun stories with easy access packed in a single app. I found so many novels that became my personal favorites like 살인마 르웰린 씨의 낭만적인 정찬, 코드네임 아나스타샤, 마이 리틀 바운티 헌터, 패션 etc. It would be very nice if there's an in app translation for foreigners to read more easily but I still wouldn't expect much since it is a korean reading app first and foremost.
Anyone know of a compatable API for English translation? I like Ridi and App, but the translation workarounds are mind numbing. And before you Korean speakers start pointing out the obvious, a little empathy please. As you know, most of these novels never get an English translation. +The technology is available!
Trash app. I would give it a zero if I could. I came back after a year to read a novel, purchased it, then realized the only way to translate it is to copy paste, and even THAT has a limit. I think there should definitely be a warning somewhere for foreigners that this app is not international-user-friendly at all. Just a waste of my money and time. A scam is what it is. Don't even bother downloading unless you know korean.
This application is phenomenal, because of the multiple devices you can view on at one time I can always have a back up for reading my novels and for translating. The best part is how easy it is to get R19 verified status, very fast through the customer service 1:1 inquiry and charge up my account through Google Play in app. It holds most of the series I had to follow by episodes on kakaopage, only in a preferred ebook format that is fairly inexpensive -You can get bundled deals or set Events.
The app is great, I was so happy to find out that there are app that can acess to many different Korean works such as Manhwa and Novels. I love how you can highlight lines in app and share them with such a cool background. The only problem that I've had with this app is language, it'd be great if the app also supports English and also automatic English translation 🥺
Leaving this review in English: friendly reminder that this is a KOREAN service; I don't think they advertise that they have English. I'm just glad that I'm overseas but can still download this. The app itself is fine. There are occassionally a few bugs, but they usually get fixed. The app is easy to use and I personally enjoy the services. I usually use TTS to listen to the books while i do other brainless tasks, and having a dictionary and sharing function in app is amazing!
Pro: - The app loads super fast. It's even faster than browser. Impressive. - Built-in dictionary is great for learning Korean. Cons: - English interface would be really nice. Currently menu is in Korean and it's difficult to navigate around. - Navigation icons at the bottom are a bit confusing for someone who just saw them the first time. I can't differentiate between novel and comic. Still, it's really useful when you just want to have a quick look at new updates or collect coupons.
I tried reading the preview in your website and it automatically translated into english for me. Hence I purchased the book set without any second thought. Alas, once bought, you need to download this app to be able to read it. No problem downloading app. The problem lies in not being able to use google translate while in the app, a function I have greatly enjoyed while using Google's Play Books. Please, do make it possible for us to translate.
I made purchases twice from different accounts (one from the iPad and the other from my Samsung s20) both time my money were taken yet didn't recieve any points to buy chapters. after completing the purchases and error code appears in a flash then nothing
Fortunately, I saw one of the reviews— I almost bought the ebook without realizing that it doesn’t support auto-translation, unlike the preview. Although I’ve already spent my coins, I hope Ridi will consider enabling auto-translation for purchased ebooks, or even better, offering an English version. For someone like me, who’s not a native English or Korean speaker, having both an English version + auto-translation would be the perfect combination.
Im not sure if this is a new issue but recently the app stopped remembering where I left off when I use other apps. it opens to a random previous episode even when I have already moved to a newer episode, forcing me to skip ahead and find where I had actually read last
I mainly use this app to get the random tickets and notifications. The place I read is in the browser. But still, I wish you could give us EN interface. You guys already have Manta, so it shouldn't be too difficult to do right 🥹
I really like this app but I would like it even more if there are others versions l mean like English and maybe change the menu when you ask to read 19+ novels or manga/manhwa and make it depend on the country the user lives in. If there's something that annoys me about this app it's got to be the fact that we need to wait 2 days for chapters to download sometimes and if they fix that I'm pretty sure this app will get more popular. That's all, thank you for reading!❤️
This app/service is NOT for international readers. At least with the preview/ website/ chapters, google can translate for you. However, with completed books you are forced to use the app which is impossible for international people who can't read hangul. What a waste. I spent $ on a book I can't translate/ read. Please build in/integrate the app with a translator. I know this is a Korean app for Koreans, but these manhwa & novels are popular internationally. It makes sense business wise.
On the website I was able to use Google translate to read the preview. That made me think I would be able to do the same thing after I purchased the full novel. That was a bit misleading. I purchased the book with my US credit card, but the app doesn't let you use Google translate. That makes me really sad because I really want to read the book, but I don't know Korean. The story seems really interesting and I bet there are other books I would enjoy too. I'm not complaining. I'm just begging that the developers reconsider adding a translation option to the app. Charge extra for it if you have too. Just please make it available. It's obvious that there is a market for this content. There is money to be made here. Us English/Spanish speaking people in the US (and other places) want to read your stories!!!!
