Amazing app, and service! Congratulations on reaching such a huge milestone! I've been using telos for a couple years and it's become a MUST HAVE for any new device I obtain. It's been a life saver having it in areas that I'm roaming but still have internet access. I buy credits often, but the fact that people that can't afford buying credits can still use the service os great. Thank you again, you all definitely deserve a high five!!!
Reviews for 2nd Phone Number: Text & Call
← Back to 2nd Phone Number: Text & CallFrankly it's a decent app. Not the best not the worst. But quite straight forward and no frills. Mostly dependable. Could be some different policies and stronger call quality would rate 5 stars. But I live in a downstairs Apartment surrounded by metal and cinder blocks all day. So.... Maybe I should modify my expectations
I love this app, but it's getting annoying... First off, and this is really important for a text/call app, the ring and notification tones don't work at all. My volume is up, plus I've done troubleshooting like clearing cache/data, reinstall. Nothing fixes it. I can't hear when I get a call or text. :/ Second thing, but not too serious, chat backgrounds don't work either. It'll be 5 stars if these things are fixed! Anyway, I still use the app as it's very useful, still better than the others
To be honest it would have been the best app ever if they could have make the app free texting, without charging, after you purchase a number they gave you free 1000 free sms after that exusted they'll start charging you, and if you don't have money you won't be able to use the app, they charge you on incoming and outgoing texts, it would have even been a bit fair if they dont charge on incoming texts It just sucks when you don't have credit on the app it no of use,and to watch ad to get limits
not sure it even works. it lets you earn free credits that you cannot use on anything. all phone numbers and plans cost a monthly subscription fee paid only with credit card or google credit - NOT FREE TELOS CREDITS. and it is not even a good competitive deal considering you can get a free US number and free unlimited calling and texting with other apps. why let us earn free credits we can't even use??? what a waste of time. don't bother.
I am not receiving calls in real time, the phone never rings however i got 4 missed calls notifications. All while having a good internet connection. Secondly, I have got my free credits vanished for no reason. And where in app one can see where their free credits are being consumed? This all seems very disappointing and now regretting my decision to pay for the service.
App is ok with mobile usage decent most of the time. However the response from support with regard to credits is pretty awful. Low rating as if the number is to be taken out (ported) the pricing is too expensive to purchase over industry level. I did the download of games via the offer wall. The app however doesn't show the credit and support team has not responded to emails/requests over 1 month. If you are looking for a number to use over the long term might not be the best option
I have not been able to make a call for the last 2 weeks. I had to delete the software to reset my phone to an earlier state and since that time I have not been able to make calls. As a paying customer, this experience is nightmarish. Please help. I quite liked the software earlier, but for the issue for the last week or so. I promise to immediately change the rating to 5* once the issue is fixed. June 20, 2025: I tried to submit feedback quite a few times. No idea, how to.
Telos promised in "about" but did not give any free US number. Years passed. Dear Ladies and Gentlemen of the Telos app support and management! I downloaded the Telos app long time ago and have already accumulated over 1.200 credits. I want to get an American number from you and use it further, now. But I want to pay not with my own money, but with the credits that I have accumulated in your application. I know for sure that this is possible, because my friends use tariff "pay as you go".
GET AWAY - really bad. will steal your money. i was asked to add credits to my account in order to renew my US phone number. so i purchased credits from telos, and once i did - they said oops, the phone number is no longer available. and a minute befire that, they showed me this phonr number, and gave me the option to reactivate it with credits!!!! and the credita are non-refundable.
All they want is money, and make us watch ads on top of that just to get credits. Not even text free is like that. Forget that. Just look at that false statement you made. Saying you're better than the competitors. Only in your dreams. You are not even close to being as good as whats app. Whats app is actually free, and doesn't ask you to give out credit card information. Also skype, etc. What a joke of an app you made. If you all read this, I do not reccomend this app. Please, don't download.
At first I had issues with the app, because I couldn't see the number I paid for. Then I contacted their customer service via email, and it was excellent. I explained my issues and though the process took several days to rectify, finally I was assigned a new phone number. They can be trusted, just that you may have some issues the first time. Thanks Telos 😀
Totally waste of money for my needs. Bought a number, but it's not enough, you need credits to use that number. You even can't receive regular SMS messages, just using a weird Chat system that act like IM . Very frustrating experience to find why I cannot get SMS from services and international contacts. Maybe it's the number i bought, UK based. The FAQ and support section was lacking in essential information. In the end, I found myself waste 14 bucks for absolutely nothing.
Cancelled my subscription... first there were technical issues (took them 2 days to activate the UK number), then it turns out the UK package does not include free messages to numbers outside the UK (have to use credits), nor, which is shocking, receive any sms... Pretty useless - if I knew that, I wouldn't have wasted my time and money - maybe a more straightforward description of the service and packages is due?
I have been using this app since several years, but lately the experience have been very bad. My number got expired twice even after having sufficient credit and active subscription. The customer service is worst. They take lot of time to respond. I am still waiting for them to reactivate my number since 4 days, but there is no update yet. I took another number and that too got expired even after having sufficient credits.
To get a number you've to get credits. They offer you buying credits or register yourself on pages and questionnaires etc etc... I did approx 6 of those, only 1 (!) paid those credits. For the others you have to file a complaint via email, which takes a few days and then you'll get asked to make a screenshot of your questionnaire, and send other information. This all to save around 4 or 5 Euros and this again all to get an advertised FREE second number. The only page that worked as intended was TUI, where I received their credits after 17 minutes. They also offer Watch videos to get credits, that wasnt even opening: What I also recognized was the rising credit price for a phone number. When I checked first (I wanted an UK number), the price was 42 credits. Now when I check the price for a UK number is 100 credits... Yes... not working for me. I will get myself a regular prepaid card from a discounter for 10 Euros, that will work for a year and all I have to do is change the sim card, thats overall time saving, nerve and money saving. And I once thought virtual stuff works faster, lol.
Update: I reduced this to one star due to pics no longer displayed. I pay $8.99 for the Unlimited calling plan for USA and Canada. The good: The app works fine for calling and SMS, and the number enables me to receive calls and texts from the US while abroad. The app can run through MEmu Android emulator. The bad: The company has hit-or-miss customer service at best. Moreover, even with a paid plan, you still have to buy or earn credits for MMS. So, it's very high priced.
This is a paid service which is no different than the FREE Talkatone app! Both apps are from this same company. When I foolishly "subscribed" in order to get the "free trial" I realized this was not for me. I contacted "support" and said I wanted to cancel immediately, but he said there were no refunds (It was still during the trial period). I deleted the app but was charged $2.99 + tax from Google. I had no way of knowing that to cancel, one had to first find "subscriptions" on Google Play and then cancel from THERE (not on the app). These apps do their best to make it difficult to figure how to cancel during the trial period (the agent could have instructed me how to cancel, but chose instead to lie). I have asked Paypal to dispute the charge since I never used the service and the charge was reported within 3 days of the start of the billing period.
It works like this: you make a call. One credit goes to connecting you. From there it's .5 credits/minute. If you want more credit, you either watch ads, or you download apps. This wouldn't be a problem, if it actually worked. I installed a solitaire app for 987 credits, which I never received. On top of that, credits will go missing. In just one day, 13 credits just vanished. Never made a single call. Just gone. I would seriously reconsider installing this.
This either used to have a diffrent name for the app or this is the same as another one. Either way this app is really my favorite one of these type of additional phone number apps. The ways to get free credits are fair and simple as well as generous. It is also not frustratingly full of rediculous ads popping up at every touch of the screen. In fact if it is popping up on you it is actually trying to give you free credits instead of talking you out of your money. Overall this is a refreshingly diffrent, non aggressive approach from an app making it a top pick for my discreet side-chat needs try it out!!
