Used this app and the Esco study pamphlet to get my universal certification on my first attempt. Test wasn't too hard. I think the Esco study guide was a little more consistent with what I saw on the test, but this app is still a great resource and definitely worth the money
Reviews for 608 Practice
← Back to 608 PracticeThis is a great tool for passing the 608 exam. The questions are word for word duplicates of what you will see on the test. I was able to get my EPA universal on my first attempt. Strongly recommended. Keep in mind, memorizing these questions and answers is the best method. Thanks
Was great for awhile, but for some reason now whenever i open the app i cant get past a page with a wall of text "This is an unofficial study guide app. It is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or representative of the United States..." ill change my review if it fixes. But as of right now its useless.
I just did a 3 week HVAC course that had the 608 on the last day. At first I would just go through the questions. The last week and a half I would do a battery of all 4 tests, and was consistently passing them. When test day came, I blew right through them and got universal.
I studied with this app casually for several weeks. I got to the point where I could pass the practice exams every time. I took my test today and passed. I might be biased in saying a handful of questions on the test I dont think the app had. Either way It helped me pass.
Hello there, there is a couple annoying issues with my purchase and that is: When I scroll either up or down to continue reading the question the green check mark appears without being selected, also when scrolling as well it jumps onto the previous or next question without letting me select the answer or to even see what was automatically selected, can you please fix these issues as soon as possible? Also I emailed you this and Damon returned it, email address is not true. Thank you
This app is worth every cent. I just got my EPA 608 results: 100% on Core, 88% on Type I, 96% on Type II, and 96% on Type III. I only used the official EPA 608 book and this app. Anytime I had a free moment- waiting in line, at the doctor's office, wherever-I opened this app instead of scrolling social media. If you're serious about passing, this app is all you need.
Definitely worth the money! Do study mode as the exam will pull 100 randomn questions from all of these study mode questions. Any question I didn't understand, I asked my teacher about. He would explain/teach why the answer is what it is. I highly recommend doing the same because there are multiple questions that ask pretty much the same thing with twists
I downloaded this app about 2 weeks ago and have been studying it religously during my down time (time usually spent on mobile games or reddit) and today I passed the Universal 608 Exam. I highly recommend using this app to study for your 608 exam. They cover about 98% of the questions that will be asked on the exam. I only ran into a handful not mentioned in this app but with its help I was able to narrow down the correct choice.
Good experience overall however some of the questions/answers are outdated and the question pool needs to be revised because of that. With that said it is still plenty accurate enough to get a passing grade.
Passed my EPA universal exam! I would recommend going through all the questions in study mode like 30-minutes daily and once you cover them all you can take practice test to see if you are ready for the exam ( Once you pass consistently I'd recommend going for the exam). Also HVAC School on YouTube has some good intros into Core, type I, II, and III. The questions on the actual test seemed very similar to these practice questions with only slight wording differences. Very helpful resource!!
This app is 100 present worth the money. It is a must... to truly study.... please, put the time in to think about what you are learning. If this is a career path you want and need the certification this app WILL help you with. Again then this is a must have. My personal experience is when I got serious and forced myself to focus on what I want to acquire, it will work. My goal was to acquire the Universal 608 certification and it happened, because I put in the dedicated effort. Thank you to all
Layout of the app and questions are good, but it is bugged and will show different answers than the ones you selected when "grading" the practice tests. I thought I was losing my mind, but then I started writing my answers on a sheet of paper while taking the test, and was able to confirm the app was changing them. Other than that, works very well.
A good start to learn the materials for EPA 608 but the same cost for SkillCat app (@1st month subscription) which offers more detailed learning experience AND certification test included. If you can pass the test then 1 month cost is more than enough. This app is not worth the cost tbh because it offers no certification tests.
1. great little app to study epa (just got my universal). It's very accessible, you can do the tests anywhere, doing a test or two on a break or while your wife shops in the mall. 2. questions are pretty accurate. on my test I didn't see a lot they had for the core section but a lot for 2 and 3. some of them were word for word 3. I wouldn't rely solely on this app, it's just nice and easy. make sure you go to other places or take a class
Do yourself a favor and purchase this app. It was tremendously helpful as a study aid before taking the exam for my EPA license. With its help, I succeeded in passing all four sections and getting my Universal license. Definitely worth the $10. Many (not all) questions were nearly word for word with actual exam questions.
Would not recommend unless they add a few features like bookmarking or the ability to jump to a question so I can test on the stuff I get wrong. Its an inconvenience to have this on my phone just to carry around paper and a pencil to log all of my wrong questions and grades to track my progress.
Definitely worth having to prepare. I like studying through practice tests and this gives you a large question bank. Came across a few errors, but with probably 700+ questions you will pass. The EPA exam had a couple of questions on record keeping that I did not remember from this app. Did not notice any issue with sample test bugs noted by other reviewers.
while this app definitely helped me study for my exam you should not rely on it. There are several questions in each section that mark incorrect answers as correct. My exam will be based on the 9th edition V2 packet and this app isn't updated to the current information. But as a majority this is a great tool to help prepare
Very good practice app! The questions are right even though occasionally the grammar seems off. Try to work all the way through the study mode for each section, rather than focusing on the practice tests. There are many similar, not-too-difficult questions in each section pool, but then there are a few that are tough to remember that might show up on your test. The practice tests will give you lots of easy questions and a few hard ones, but you need to study the hard ones. One function that would really make this app excellent would be the ability to remove easy questions from the pool so you could only practice the hard-to-remember ones. Or if there were a "personal deck" that you could save hard questions to. Anyway, thanks!
