It stopped working. I tried reinstalling as well. Even when it was working, the transfer was painfully slow. It took about a minute to transfer one minute video. The device doesn't have an external card so that I can transfer manually either. So this device is now just a dummy.
Reviews for 70mai
← Back to 70maiNeeds a lot of fixing. So far I do not like the fact that Wi-Fi connection does not stay connected to the phone app. I feel like once we connect our device to this app. we should be able to latch on to it and not have to reconnect it. only had this device for a day and that's the one thing that seems to get on my nerves. I every time I open the app I shouldn't have to reconnect my device to the app...
Needs some work, you can not update the Omni dashcam with an Android phone like the S23 Ultra. I have read comments online that I would need my old iphone or use my iPad. I can even activate some of the other features because it always tells me that the hotspot isn't connected. The dashcam works great, but they need to do something about the app. I had to use my iPad that was connected to my phone's hotspot to update the dashcam, now everything works, I should not have to do that.
Needs improvement. There isn't a way to view the front and back at the same time. There are no settings for the rear camera. It would also be helpful if you could view the rear camer in real time like the front camera. Maybe implement a way to switch from front camera to the rear camera. Also, like others have said, there isn't a lot of settings or adjustment.
Firmware update has rendered my cameras useless. Not sure if the app has anything to do with it.
It's been more or less consistent over the two months I've used it. The app is very simple and can benefit from better experience and features such as easier selection of multiple clips and trimming and merging tools. I want it to smartly detect parking videos so I can select all and delete them for better management. It also would be good to have the option to mask out location from a video in case you don't want others to know the location.
I love the camera a for the price it's great, however when it comes to the app it works well when ever It works, I'm having a hard time with the app connecting to the camera. A lot of times it will load and load and load trying to connect to the camera but never dose. The few times that it has connected it works great.
The app works perfectly. I don't understand the low ratings. I just wish there was a way to disable the speaker announcements. Every time I hit a pot hole I get one. I'm considering buying more of these dash cams but the inability to disable announcements is the only thing holding me back.
The app does not stay connected. So if you shut your car off and run into a store and come back, you have to start the app, wait for it to connect to wifi all over again... This is not going to work for most people. Honestly they should have used a bluetooth connection instead.
I have ordered this camera and so far has been great. been catching. So many crazy things out here almost had 2 different accidents caused by 2 different people. And I'm glad to have a camera just in case when it happens. I also order another one to face the rear Of my truck, great cameras definitely recommended.
I wish I'd never bought this dash cam. I've been able to connect to it exactly 1 time in the 8+ months since i bought it. That 1 time was a few days after i bought and installed it. I've never been able to watch anything it's recorded. Never. If you're seeing this review before buying this camera, I heartily recommend you to spend your money on something else. Anything else.
App forces you to log in before connecting with your camera. It is impossible to login because system is broken (it will not send the activation code to my email). So the app is useless. Not sure why you can't just connect the app to the camera, why it's necessary to force login to the system in order to use it. But if you do require users to login, that's okay, as long as the system is maintained properly. I haven't been able to login using my email and password for quite some time; I've only been able to use the facebook login. Now that doesn't work either.
Garbage!! Worked ok while when worked but when I went back into it the third time it wanted my password, it wouldn't take it. When I tried to reset my password it wouldn't let me. Definitely this app has issues. (Up date) finally got in to it. Took a lot of try's. Hope no more problems. One star to a four star so far. Works good when it works.
the dash cam 70mai will connect to the wifi, but it will not connect to the app at all
Trash camera interface and software. It doesn't record when you want to and you can't navigate or find anything on the app easily or at all in most cases. Steer clear for your own good.
The app and my 810A front and rear camera work well. Very automatic, doesn't require much user interaction, which I like. I check the app in the Google Play Store at every oil change for updates to the app and the dash cam firmware. There seems to be steady firmware releases, which I like because it shows that the camera continues to be developed and improved.
The cam is perfect, small and good quality outcome. This app sucks as hell. You can't stop voice recording, can't use online streaming if you are live with your cam due to WiFi, only deletes 30 videoa at a time and you can have easily 100x that amount if you are doing Uber. Why don't use bluetooh instead of wifi? It takes several minutes to connect your phone and cam. I think I'm gonna return it.
Limitations, and a lot. First of all, it doesn't store a lot of videos. No idea what determines how many videos it can store. It erases old videos even if you throw in a big MicroSD card in it. And, there is no setting for miles vs km and no way to disable GPS coordinates. No way to record scenic routes as it overwrites same day videos if you are driving long distances. There is potential but the developers are no genius! They could not think outside the box.
You learn your lessons the hard way, and I definitely did with 70mai Omni dashcam... Yesterday another driver forced me off the road on a highway. When I went to pull the footage for po, the loop recording wasn't being captured. It just stopped without any notice... I have not gone in to make any changes and it only started again with me connecting via WiFi to the camera, again no settings changes. This is a 3rd critical event that this dashcam missed! I'm down thousands of dollars because of it
Pros: It's a good quality camera, with a nice long cord you can hide in your molding so it's not hanging down from the windshield. Cons: You can only delete 30 videos at a time from the memory card, and it records a video every minute. It records even when you're sitting still. It's trying to be clever making "emergency videos" with some type of tremor sensor. It would have been more clever to have a GPS sensor to know when you're moving or not moving. My dedicated device won't stay connected =(
