This app must have cost $6 to make, incredible that they didn't even try and then asked for money. For such a great challenge this is conversely such a terrible app. Could've built a note page to track in Keep for free. Here's some ideas: Calorie/Water intake counter, recipes, best practices/tips, workouts, message board, book ideas. There's a lot of runway for this app to be great, I hope it gets there..
Reviews for 75 Hard
← Back to 75 HardRight, if u want a list of things to do, here you go. This app does nothing. No encouragement. No actual tracking of absolutely anything: workout, calorie, progress. If you want and app that just sends reminders, use the calendar your phone has built in. Big disappointment. Oh, also it prompts you to listen to the podcast (which is bull by the way) and buy the book. Save yourself a fiver and buy a skipping rope maybe
This app has nothing in it. It is just a tracking tool which you can do on your phone with the built in apps. It has no workout suggestions, no diet suggestions.. nothing. Just use your calendar and notes or something. I received a message from the developer stating that it doesn't state there is anything of the sort and yes although it doesn't it is £7 which is very pricey for an app and you're told to download it so I thought it might be more than just a calendar...
Very basic app - don't get how is not free. It would be good if you could put info in like a workout routine for each day, track water/food, or even what page in a book you're up to. Would be nice if the alarms didn't come through after you've ticked an item as done that day. Would be good to have a decent way to view the photos to see progress (eg. a time lapse, scrolling, anything...). In saying that, I've found it helpful to motivate me to get fit and I've lost a lot of weight using it.
People complaining about how basic the app is are missing the point of the app and the program. I completed 75Hard this year and found the app very helpful. Yes, it's simple and basic, but the app isn't there to spoonfeed you. If that's what you want then you're not ready. It's there to remind you of what you still need to do and to keep track of your progress, nothing more, nothing less. The responsibility of finding a suitable diet, tracking your weight etc. is yours.
Works well for completing the program. I find myself using other apps to keep on top of things as well - a water tracker app (adding 500ml at a time throughout the day) and weight tracker that graphs it too. Incorporating these into this app would be very helpful, as well as making it sync with Google Fit. I would recommend downloading the app for your 75 Hard, but it isn't necessary.
I would have failed my first attempt if it weren't for the app. I have two major issues with it. One that it won't save the progress pics in the gallery/files when you take them through the app, with the easy workaround of taking them with the camera app then upload them on 75Hard. The other major issue is that it won't work offline. So no Internet connection, no progress...
Too many bugs for such a small and simple app. I wouldn't have paid such a high price for it in the first place, but I had earned the money from google rewards. Very glitchy, difficult to check a box, pictures are very odd and hard to use. Requires internet connection for some reason to complete the daily list. Won't let me complete the task because it says I'm not connected to the internet. I am connected.
Waist of money, it really is just a checklist, that if you don't check one thing off it resets. You can basically do the same thing on a notes app. Cost way too much for that. I was hoping for at least some way to connect to others doing the challenge. But nothing. The challenge is hard though... But can u make it a step harder and just do it yourself daily for free...? I think so.
This app is definitely way overpriced at $5. The picture tracking stinks. You are limited to the format of the app only. No editing features as far as size. Also, I was just trying to add a note and gues what? There is a limit to the number of characters you can add to the note section. So pictures and notes are going on my phone and an app that does what the 75 HARD app does and more. So why did I need this app? I didn't. Wasted $5.
App is O.K. Could be great with 1 or 2 tweaks. It would be nice to have the option to add additional items to the challenge tasks to make it more personalized. Not to take away steps from the core challenge, but to add to it. For example, I'd love to be able to add in "No posting or commenting on Social Media"...things like that. Should be an easy update.
App is very basic. There is no way to look at all of your photos before you have hit the 75 day mark. I failed my first attempt after day 13 but I can't see the photos I took from that attempt. Where do they go? I wish I could flip back to see my progress photos in the middle of the challenge for motivation. The app is also extremely extremely slow to open (I don't have this problem with any other app)
This app is ok. I like that I can track my progress through the challenge and that I can set reminders. However, it is very slow to load on my Android phone. Also, about a week ago, I fell asleep without marking a task completed. The next morning, I had the question about "What happened?" I marked that I had finished the task and was going to continue. Now that prompt comes up every single time I open the app. I've completed every task and it still pops up when I open the app several times a day
I have talked about doing 75 Hard several times in the past, but slacked quickly because I didn't keep track, wasn't holding myself accountable, etc. This app is simple. Yes. It is essentially a $5 checklist. Yes. However for ME, it's what I needed to push into this program. In a way it "gameifies" it for me, because I DO NOT WANT to see my progress disappear. Can you do 75 Hard without the app? Sure, but for me it has made the difference and I'm 100% satisfied with my purchase.
This is nothing more than a glorified checklist that you could make in your calendar app in seconds. If a list of things to do was all it took to make me healthier, more hydrated, more entrepreneurial, and more disciplined, it would have happened decades ago. If I had paid 99 cents, I'd say "who cares" but 5 bucks? I didn't request a refund in time because I thought surely there would be more to the app as I went along, but nope... it's just a checklist with reminders. Save your money.
The app doesn't allow you to add more reminders or alert for each daily goal. I wish it gave more ways to customize alerts. Also, it takes forever to open. Idk why but I have to exit and open the app a few times before it allows me view the daily list. I wish I could transfer or connect to other fitness apps within the app or transfer data that way. It was go in theory but I guess I could do this same thing on my calendar instead with more features sadly.
It's almost exclusively a checklist with a list of the basic rules. It has a link taking you online for some other stuff, but I wanted the app to get all my information one place. I tried browsing the app to find different features and accidentally started the challenge. It did not have any option to end it without telling me "you failed" and tracking it as so in the app. A 500 character review limit is inadequate to describe all problems. Overall, this app failed and I heavily regret buying it.
I love the app for its simplicity in tracking daily progress. All it is, is an all-or-nothing checklist - but that's the beauty of it. The point of the program being self-motivation and mental toughness, the app doesn't need to be anything more. I use other apps for tracking nutrition and workouts. It would be great to see 75Hard integrate with Strava, Garmin, Strong, or other workout tracking apps, or with CarbManager, 1st Phorm or other macro trackers. For now, I just keep all apps together in one folder on my Android and click from one to the other as I progress through the day.
Great app! I did 75 hard the first time without using this, now that I'm doing it again I can't believe I didn't 😂 My only complaints (or requests) would be to let me download the pictures taken on the app to my phone, and a way to split up the water tracking! Every 16oz or litre or somewhere equivalent would be super supportive, sometimes just keeping track of the water is more challenging than drinking the water itself. Thanks!
the simplicity of this is what gives it the 5th star. no way to unintentionally spend wasted time in the app. keeps you on track and no need to count the days just hit those check marks! it has glitches here n there as all apps do but it always keeps the progress when it's up and running and it's never down for long. I do wish there was a way for the photo to auto save in my gallery in a folder of it's own. I swear it use to but doesn't for a while now.
