Description

Been using the AAFP app for a couple months now. It’s basically a one-stop-shop for family medicine docs – you can report your CME hours, earn more credits, access medical journals and news, and even search through clinical recommendations. Pretty solid app if you’re an AAFP member.

Here’s what you can do: you can report your CME and see your transcript, earn credits through things like board review questions and journal quizzes, and read the American Family Physician and Family Practice Management journals. There’s also a section for the latest AAFP news, blogs, and podcasts – really helpful to stay up to date. And the clinical recommendations search is super useful, you can bookmark your favorites.

Look, if you’re an AAFP member, you’ll probably get a lot of use out of this app. It’s not perfect – the interface can be a little clunky at times – but overall it does the job of bringing all those AAFP resources together in one place. Worth checking out if you’re a family medicine doc.

Editor Opinion

So here's my take on the AAFP app. I've tested a bunch of medical and professional apps, and this one's a pretty solid option for AAFP members. The ability to manage your CME, access journals and news, and search clinical recs all in one place is really convenient. The app runs smoothly and the features are useful, though the interface could use a little polish. Compared to some other medical apps I've tried, this one feels more geared towards real-world needs of family docs rather than just trying to look fancy. Overall, it's a handy tool if you're an AAFP member, with a few minor downsides.

Stopped working on Android 14. App immediately closes even after clearing cache, uninstalling, reinstalling, and restarting phone several times.
