I enjoy abc news very much, but I really dislike the new format. It is almost as if it is a random collection of news stories. The interests should not be placed first. When I open up a news app, I want to see the top stories of the day. Stories related to my interests should be in a separate section or further down. As, always, ABC news has stellar reporting, but the format needs to be changed. On the plus side, ABC news live works very well.

When the app actually works its great. notification links don't work and when i go to the app pages just spin. sometimes they work sometimes they don't. This only happens with the ABC news app. I'm very disappointed and I'm going to delete the app as there is no point in me having it if it won't work.

5 ⭐ 1 ⭐ = 3 ⭐ App itself, 1 star. The sharing icon has just disappeared. Have they changed it to an app you can't share from or is it just me? Videos have always had issues but I'm a reader so that doesn't bother me. But reading a great story and not being able to share it does. Papers like NYTimes, Washington Post have great apps, surely Disney can do better than this app. Now for their content I give 5 stars, it's not bias like so many others are. Toodalo ABC.

It is an OK app if you want the top 1 or 2 news stories. The videos attached to the stories almost never match the article itself. Some of the time the videos show a "not compatible with your device" error message. I have a Galaxy S9 plus. There have to be better news apps out there. Delete.

Trying to watch a video is a long and sometimes frustrating experience today tried watching 4 videos. All four videos I had to watch the same commercial, i wasnt interested the first time, or the 2nd time, or the third time, and definitly not the forth time i had to watch it without the ability to skip. I got to see one of the four videos, 2 of the 4 videos i got a run down of today's news, and on the forth vodeo i got and endless stream of ads. So if you want to only read the news this app wrks

Not user friendly, even when you just want to scroll or view clips, and not accessible unless you pay for your TV, though you can access free on regular TV. I'm disappointed. I expected more from ABC, though they have become more generic and seemingly lazy over the years, so maybe not so surprised. They seem to just repeat the stories of the week. No true investigative or revealing news.

OH!, how I wish I could rate this app with 0 stars...without a doubt this is the WORST PERFORMING app out of over 100 on my phone...it freezes &/or crashes within 2-5 mins. of opening the app every time!!! This DOESN'T happen at ALL with any of my other News Apps or others period!...not with NBC or CBS or FOX!!!...they usually perform flawlessly by comparison.

Constantly reloading or something. Can't even finish reading an article with constant ads loading & disrupting page position. Honestly, ABC, just fix it. Ridiculous. And now, evidently, we're all to subscribe to HULU to watch ABC specials. Great. Another streaming service. How incredibly annoying. 11/22: So now they've updated the app. Terrible format.

The live stream is unwatchable. Maybe it is because I am a European but there is an ad break every few minutes. At least on the CBS app the fill the space with 'inhouse' advertising. Even in the UK our commercial channels don't run ads as often as the US does. I don't need a 3min pee break every two and a half minutes!

I use this app every morning to get caught up on the news. I'm finally getting use to the new version, but I miss the old version, which I could watch gma much easier. The video news stories don't get updated on the weekend 😪 Also, please stop doing video news stories where it's all written caption and no one talking. I play the videos while I'm getting ready in the morning so I can listen to the news.

Stupid app. Everytime I finish an article, the app blasts me back to the top of the news feed. I don't want to go to the top, I want to continue working down to the articles I want to read. Each time it rockets back to the top, I have to scroll back down to the next article I want to read. The app didn't always do this & it's extremely annoying, keeps me from using it as often as I used to. Uninstalling & updating do nothing. Ridiculous. You can do better.

Aug 19 - Just downloaded/installed newest version. Installing was successful and the app does not crash as it did in previous versions (thanks guys). As for the adds in the videos it is no different than watching videos on my computer. I just turn off the sound and wait. May 3 - just uninstalled latest version - shuts down within 5 seconds of opening app. Not good, ABC News programmers :-(. Don't waste your time installing this app until it is fixed. Using Samsung S8 Android smartphone.

Canceled Kimmel so I'M CANCELING NEXSTAR!!! This APP. Along with Disney, hulu, ESPN and AND anything nexstar buy.

Extremely long commercials almost 5 minutes long. Be prepared. I turn volume down and go do other things, then come back.

The app won't even open for me. It just stays on the ABC logo and doesn't go into the app. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. Still nothing. I know it has worked on my phone before but this time, nope. A shame because I absolutely love ABC. Was upset with the whole Kimmel thing but gave another shot when they brought him back, but their app sucks! 😭

I have uninstalled this app as a result of the Kimmel cancellation. I am stunned that we would be so willing to compromise our basic American principles based on the comments of a late night comic.

Awful app and awful company. Free speech means nothing to them

The app was fine, the news was good, but they've bent the knee to fascism. I'm uninstalling.

Absolutely garbage !!! You have to watch ads, just to see content that has nothing to do with the headline.

ABC news is one of the best news sources out there. Needs a video clips or shorts feature, similar to what NBC news has. It would a great feature n addition to the app that I would love to have if Disney decides to bring this feature on. Continue to update & improve for better design improvements...
