Scanning barcodes is a nice feature too – you can get all the details on a product before you buy.
Look, if you’re into sports or the outdoors, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the app can get a little glitchy sometimes and the loading times aren’t the fastest. But overall, it does a pretty good job of bringing the Academy shopping experience to your phone. Worth checking out if you shop there a lot.

So here's my honest take on the Academy Sports + Outdoors app. I've tested a bunch of shopping apps and this one stacks up pretty well. The UI is clean and easy to navigate, and the core features like browsing products, finding stores, and checking deals all work as advertised. It's not groundbreaking, but it gets the job done. The barcode scanner is a nice touch that I don't see in a lot of other retail apps. On the downside, I have noticed some occasional crashes and sluggishness, especially when loading a lot of products. And the personalized recommendations could use some work. But overall, if you're an Academy regular, this is a pretty solid companion app.
