Reviews for Acorns Early: Kids Money App

← Back to Acorns Early: Kids Money App

I was in doubt but I gave it a try anyway. I'm glad I did. It helps by providing my child with educational videos. She can learn about money, saving, interest rates, and even letting friends borrow money. House chores don't just fall on me she helps by doing her tasks which I don't have to keep on her about. It is great for our family. Don't just take my word for it. I think every parent should give it a try. If it is not for you just deactivate your account and delete it. Great app try it.

This appears to be a really good app. I've just gotten started so I'll update as needed. Heads up, there is a $10 monthly recurring fee. I feel it is well worth the money. But if you are looking for something free, kindly look elsewhere.

Listen up, folks! My review of the Acorns Early app is coming in hot, and it's a real nut job! This app is a tree-mendous way to get the little acorns in your life rooted in financial literacy. It’s got chores, allowance tracking – everything to teach 'em to leaf no stone unturned when it comes to saving. The card designs? Branch out with creativity! Now, the fees... they're a bit nutty, but hey, you gotta invest in their future, right? Overall, I'd give it a solid 10 out of 10 squirrels

this is by far one of the best apps for children to learn how to use their money make their own money earn extra money by learning everything about money and how to save it. a must download and try for kids!!

it safe, you can transfer money, you can also learn about saving money, and finally, most store take this awesome card!

this is a great app that allows control to the adult and also allows controls to the child. they can track their tasks, and mark them for themselves, but parents get to say if yes or no the task was done or not. They can set up to save for a special item they're wanting. it's all in their control with assistance from you.

I love the app. I wish that the parent had a category to add stars and rewards for continually doing the requested chores.

Switched from Greenlight to this service. I love it so far and hope the customer is far better the Greenlights was, I like the ability to give each chore (task) an amount. I do miss the location sharing with my family but there's a suggestion for this app. so far, it's been great!

Don't waste your time. I used this for a month. all of a sudden today I can't add money via bank transfer, BANK debit card or GooglePay. Their representative told me there is nothing they can do and that I would need to get a different debit card to make payments. It's obviously an issue on their end, and they refuse to do anything about it. PS to the response to my review, I did not have a prepay debit card. It was my BANK debit card.

I have been trying to get verified for months in this app. I am verified for the adult half, but the requirements for this are different, and they don't seem to accept my ID. I am paying for the service, and customer service doesn't answer, or their chat is rude and can't accurately communicate what I need to do. ben told me I could submit my ID, but then next chat said I need a manual link, but never sent one, and just "is that all you need."

This app is a game changer! My daughter loves how she can get money and how she can spend it at the mall with her friends! She gives it a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and so do I!

i like it so far especially the ability for custom cards for the kids but they log in once and then cant log in again? and the pin is made for them vs them being able to make their own pin so that sucks cause these are like children that cant remember codes like that.

I love the learning videos about setting goals and budgets. great starter for a small child. my daughter loves it

I can't login to the app and I have changed my password, got into the account online, and was still unable to login to the app. this experience is pretty and I'm get unloaded.

very easy to use my girls love the option not sure they still understand about physical cash they are 7 still thing they can use the card all the time instead of understanding budgeting but we have just started

I love this app! My kids get their chores done and they get paid for them. The one thing I love the most about it is they learn about money and finances, as well as stock and bonds, checking, etc. There is a whole section that allows them to learn things and earn money for that, too!

completely useless, I got this app because with the fitbit Ace lte kids watch you have to use a third party banking app just to activate tap to pay. I spent three hours today trying to get it to connect to my kids' watches and had no success and no indication of why it continued to fail. I plan on canceling my account and moving to apple phones and watches. such a frustrating experience, Google, fitbit, and Acorns should all be embarrassed.

Upgraded (for now) from 1*. It was a challenge getting set up due to their internal processing issues, but finally got going. Still early but the app is fairly easy and intuitive to use. I'll come back to this review in a while after having time to use it.

Acorns acquired GoHenry so I'm just getting used to the new format. I think there are so many good things about this general concept, but the lack of support, or integrations\abilities for older children is miniscule. my teenage son has had this since a young boy, but it really does not grow with them past 13. Not to mention direct deposits take forever to come in. the app also loves to decline transactions days after they have posted which makes no sense and makes it hard for kids to budget

For the most part the app is great. We love it, except there have been three separate occasions ($40 each time) where I've transferred money from my bank account to my parent account and the money is not reflected in the parent account. The money still has yet to reflect the account even after waiting several days. That is my only issue with this app, is the missing money.
