I rarely use this all. Today I needed to use it and it had to to update. When it updated and I opened it, a screen opened a page for me to re register using my credit card for verification saying I wouldn't be charged. I put in all the information. It was NOT anything to do with the app at all. Instead it was to sign up for some streaming service and said after 5 days it would charge $39. VERY deceitful as it presents as the pdf app when it was for an extensive advertisement. I am pissed!!!!
Reviews for Adobe Acrobat Reader: Edit PDF
If you plan to create documents (fill & sign), definitely skip this white elephant. Long-term contracts are dead, but, apparently, not at Adopey! I spent two hours filling out a long form, and it crashed at the very end after I thought I had saved it multiple times. Turns out I was just hitting an arbitrary blue check mark that does nothing. At the paywall, they don't make it clear that THE MOST EXPENSIVE document processor, doesn't save & can't recover your PDFs when it farts them away. Poof!
Mediocre at best. Doesn't let me scroll through a document while my keyboard is out. Whenever I input something into a FILLABLE PDF, it either deletes it or freezes. The only thing I can use it for is converting documents into a PDF, or vice versa...that's it. So basically useless. I actually pay this damn company for extra futures and get none...sounds about right.
Will try to rip you off, if you ever sign up for a free trial. I signed up for Acrobat Pro for a 7 day trial period and canceled after 5 days because it didn't work for me. I got an email confirmation saying that it was canceled, but somehow they snuck in their AI assistant, which apparently does nothing because I didn't even know I had it. It took me a couple months to realize that I was being charged over $7 per month for something I didn't sign up for. Want to write more, but Adobe sucks!
Falsely advertised as free! I just wanted to edit a document. Something that would have taken 5 seconds to do. A service that's FREE everywhere else. But they wanted me to subscribe monthly or yearly for a STUPID amount of money for what it is. I guess I wasted the amount of time I could have just done it on my PC with an actually free program. Would be nice to do it on my phone. It could save me a whole 60 seconds. Not worth $100. Not even worth $1. Lol But Adobe did waste my time though.
My experience. well, you would expect this to work, for really, it doesn't do well.. I have all my tech manuals for my equipment I service in pdf form. Sometimes, it's just easier to open the file. Hit the entered link to a page that's on page 100 to pop me right to what I need, but it doesn't work. So I have to scroll f Throughthe entiree file to get 1 bit of info like a error code. And 90% of time it's just blank pages. But if I open the same file in say word. Links work just fine. Useless...
This app used to work as a reader. The description still says it works as a reader. Whenever I try to open a file with it, I am led directly to a pay wall with no "not now" option. Update: yeah I gave it my best shot. If there's not "not ever" option, and people can't find the "not now" option in less time than I spent looking, there's a problem.
What in the world is going on with trying to edit a document all of a sudden!? The mobile app now constantly freezes and crashes. Both the desktop and mobile app; it was simple last week to click on the area I wanted to text, and voila. I go to fill in some dates on a document today (both on desktop and mobile app) and the text is so small, I can't even read it and it's blue. I can no longer move the text where I want it on the "line" and I can't even size it! Paid subscription and frustrated!
Frustrating as hell. Can't paste, moving text is extremely unintuitive, can't paste, the keyboard keeps popping up, can't past, I want to throw my phone, can't paste. What the hell happened, the older version was, from what I remember, much much more useful and easy to use. Can't paste in this version. This is frustrating. Have to sign in? Uninstalling...
Super shady. I was sure I signed up month to month, but when I tried to cancel it, it wouldn't let me cancel without paying a $70 cancelation fee. When I signed up initially, I didn't read anything about a cancelation fee. I paid $20 on a month to month basis... this app also never stopped blowing me up with notifications. It wasn't a super intuitive program to use either. Start to finish was, unfortunately, a terrible experience.
