Reviews for Adobe Express: AI Photo, Video

← Back to Adobe Express: AI Photo, Video

Maybe I'm suddenly old, but i don't care about sharing my photos on every possible app. I used Aviary for several years and absolutely loved it... I paid for many of the filters, it was such a fun tool! I got a new phone though and couldn't re-download it. A Google search said this app would replace it.. hard no. Not even comparable. Plus it encourages you to slap someone else's designs over your own photos and call that art? I'm so disappointed. I thought Adobe was better than this.

I am so annoyed. Worked hours on a flyer. Could not get it into PDF format. Went to another computer to access Windows 10 so that I could open it without my phone. Opened it. Had to sign up for premium. Lost all fonts. Had to re-design it. After all that, there was no option for saving or sharing or exporting at all. OR getting it into PDF which is what I needed in the first place. Very frustrating.

Makes the most simple things so challenging! I just don't find it very intuitive yet. I end up going to Figma or PS on the computer often when trying to use this app. My biggest gripe is that it's impossible to get the fonts I want. There's just a big, unalphabetized horizontally scrolling list that I can't search (I have a LOT of fonts activated as a designer).

A damn good site for anything you want, logos, flyers, cards, invitations, you name it. I have only used the free version and I have made some really good looking business cards and flyers. Really easy to navigate also, you don't need any designing skills to create and get super results. I am going to get the paid version soon because if the free version is this good the paid one must be awesome! Try it you will like it!

I love doing digital art and image editing; so many other apps are restrictive, clunky, or even when they work well they don't understand what I'm trying to do (like when "resize" stretches image but not borders so it's a stretched portion inside a box). EDIT: Right after posted, next image is cropping instead of resizing. Trying to make a reel about drug awareness and getting help, so need frames being same size, and now back to drawing board. Just wanting to change dimensions, not crop/cutoff.

Updates often completely change functionality causing a brief period of "re-learning". 2,000+ memes later this is still the best app I've found that can absolutely nail 99% of what I need. Amazing. If they could include a way to utilize a GIF animation as the image instead of just a still of the first frame I would switch from the free version to a paid subscription. So close to the best thing on the Internet!

I mean... I've only used it for like an hour but I've had no problems creating a custom gamerpic so I'm giving it five stars. Everything is super accessible and I didn't need to watch a tutorial video for anything. $9.99 is too steep a monthly subscription for a photo editing app. I would definitely pay that one time. I will have to discontinue use and cancel before my free trial ends. You can't say I'm not fair, Adobe.

You have to log in to desktop to use the images. Update: the above issue seems to have been resolved. My latest issues include not being able to use the app at all (despite paying money for it, it was buggy and not granting me access). After wasting a lot of time with customer support, they convinced me not to cancel... By offering me a free trial for three months. I agreed... Unfortunately, instead of providing a free trial, they decided to be sneaky and instead bill me twice a month.

For the love of all things good in this world, please go back to the old version. This app was user friendly, and I cannot get it to function at this point. All the blank templates seem to have disappeared. I used to pick the layout and could make the border the size and color I wanted (what border...). I'm not a huge fan of technology, so being able to jump in and design something quickly was a bonus for me. I'm so frustrated now I'll probably just uninstall the damn thing.

I only want to make simple slideshows with music and voiceover. The free version of Adobe Express allows for that with no watermark, this includes basic transitions between images. However, they don't help you do it, the app is set up to use premade templates and they push AI. If you're willing to take the time to figure out how to make your own, then it's worth it. I might give 5 stars if they made the simpler way easier to find and use.

Unfortunately, the "new" app has made it impossible for me to quickly throw things together, and edit the way I want. I started using this app as an alternative to PS (since PS mobile doesn't offer what the actual program does) to build collages from my photo work. The app is now so focused on templates & AI that it's made everything really inconvenient. Even something as simple as a grid collage takes way longer than on the previous version. I'm pretty upset to lose this as a tool for my art.

the old version was fine for what I needed, which was mostly adding text and images to silly memes for my friends. nothing very intensive. the new version is unbearably laggy (I have a pixel 9 so there is no reason my phone should be struggling with this app), and between the lag and basic functions now being hidden behind extra sub menus it took 5 minutes to add one (1) text box to an image. edit: i have force restarted and reopened and that has not stopped the issue.

This app had been one of my favorites for editing photos/generating ads-- it was quick and easy to use. The newest update changed that-- it's now clunky, slow, and not intuitive (best example of this is the number of steps it takes to add text, and the reduced resolution of your work) There are so many great photo apps, I suggest you look beyond AdobeExpress for one.

The website version is easier to navigate, mobile is a little clunky in the sense that when you try to move images or text, the interface is slow to respond and ends up glitching all over the screen and not going where you want it to go, or it's hard to interact with it because you can't zoom in with it. It's also difficult to get to the extra stuff like the template designs or backgrounds but it does have all the options the website has.

This is by far the slowest, most ridiculous app I've ever used for video editing. I simply wanted to take a 55 second video I already stabilized, and edited using Google Photos, and add an MP3 song I made because the video had no audio for some reason when I recorded it. over an hour later, I still can't get the finished product to fully load without the app restarting on its own with no error messages or any reason to restart. And just to add my own file was very buried and cryptic.

They offer a free trial, to see if the app will do what you need, it isn't free. They charge you right away and when you call they say they cannot refund your money. Google Play has to refund me. The app didn't do what I needed, it's more a photo editor app in my opinion, I needed to create something. I thought that is what trials were about, to find the app you need. Don't offer something if you can't deliver, just say pay, let the consumer know what they are getting.: exactly reiterated.

Not as good as Photoshop Mix, what has now become inaccessible. You need a premium account to use the eraser! Everything is "AI", when it works its quick and easy, but 99% of the time it churns out rubbish and you can't improve it without staring again, again and again. Would be greatly improved with the addition of 'specialist' tools like: Erase, select, magic select.

Ever since they've forced your work to be "on the cloud," it's become almost unusable. For some reason they seem to think it's a good idea to take local graphics, make you upload them to work with them just to download them back except so many times, they either get stuck in the download or you have to wait forever for them to get "back online," and no, clearing the cache doesn't change anything.

This is the best editor app that i totally recommend. This app contains a lot of things for photos, videos and other things you probably need like creating your resume etc. I am excited to use this app for work related too since i don't have to keep jumping app by app just to find the right one that is useful in every aspect. Over all, 5/5! No pop up ads, no annoying subscription that will suddenly appear on screen so that's it. Download this app and you'll see what i mean.

*Edited (12/16/21) to say: SInce the recent change to this app, all I can say is that if I had subscribed, I would be greatly disappointed with the "new" changes and how much is no longer offered for Subscribers. Pity. Changing my original 5 stars to 1* I LOVE this app! I only wish I could purchase it instead of paying monthly/yearly, which I will not do. I'll continue to use the free version and hopefully, one day, changes will allow for a one time payment purchase.
