So, solar lights (outdoor) can't be set on a timer (on/off) can't be paired to work together?! Feeling like I am missing out on what I bought them for. JS. At least I can power them on and off (individually). Nice lights, app could be better IMO.

← Back to AiDot – Smart Home Lifethey did work great. Automation/schedule (sunrise/sunset) did work on point for a little while now they don't turn off. there is no "set the action" option anymore. Deleted app, restart phone reinstall, reschedule and there still get the error "set the action" but there is no way to do it because that isn't listed.
This app just works, lots of good light effects, no ads being shoved in my face every eleven seconds, it's cute and polished and effective. When the app asked me to rate it just now, it was one of the few times EVER where I went "you know what yeah, why not, I like this app." This app has succeeded in not being annoying, and that's great.
Works great so far. No complaints. The bulbs are very easy to set up. There are more built-in preset scenes with these bulbs/app than Govee. Making schedules & groups are easy. These seem to be great LEDs with an easy to use app that has tons of options. The app seems stable. You do have to end a scheduled scene 1 minute before a new one starts. Ex: if you set "focus" to end at 5:00 & "relax" to start at 5:00, it will stay on "focus". You have to set "relax" for 5:01 or "focus" to end at 4:59.
I absolutely love the AiDot App! The products have been incredibly reliable and easy to use. The variety of fun lighting options allows me to match my mood or celebrate each holiday season perfectly. I’ve nearly replaced all the bulbs in my house with these, and I couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking to elevate their lighting game! Five stars!
Several nice features, but it's annoying that I can't figure out how to hide some lights. In my living room I have 4 light fixtures. 3 of those fixtures have multiple bulbs. There is an option to group them, but you can still see the individual bulbs in the menu. 99% of the time I just want to adjust the whole fixture. Need an option to nest grouped bulbs so I only see the group unless I want to expand to see individual bulbs.
I don't know if it's something wrong with my mini cam or the app but it can not stay connected to the wifi yet everything else I own connects and stays connected....It was fine until the free subscription( which I never used) ran out. Instantly it has problems. No coincidence in my opinion. If you're okay buying a product that's only good for 30 days then this will be perfect! Everyone else AVOID these products!
I dont know what's happening but the app won't let me sign in and keeps telling me different things and my wifi has been fine this entire time but I just can't sign in to be able to adjust my lights. It worked great the last year and a half and now I can't do anything. It's updated I tried removing app and adding it back on. My phones up to date. Help
I am using AiDot with Orein and Linkind lighting. Setup in the app and on WIFI is easy, which provides remote control of lights and the ability to change colors. If that works, AiDot is a very good application, and lighting can be customized and appears to be reliable. I have 39 years in building controls. I look for customizable automation, which this app DOESN'T have. Lights are not even seen as a device which greatly limits the apps' "automation" and cross functionality with other brands.
Was working, but now, suddenly, it won't even allow me to sign in. I've had this account for years since before it became AiDot. I just signed in an hour ago. I've cleared the cache, uninstalled and reinstalled. Error after error, after error. So unhappy with your service. There's nothing wrong with my network. I've checked and called my service provider. It's you. You know what? Thank you, I'm going to use bulbs the old-fashioned way. It was such a waste of an hour of my life.
AiDot servers down, Alexa no longer working with smart bulbs. Other people have been experiencing the same thing today. These bulbs are useless now since I've also been signed out of the AiDot app and can no longer sign in either. EDIT: Things are working again! Servers are back online, and I was able to add all the smart bulbs back to Alexa. Hopefully this was a one time thing because these bulbs were so easy to set up and work well.
The most annoying pos! Lights keep coming on by themselves every 5 min no matter how many times I turn them off. Epic fail!!! I really wish you could reply to the publishers response! Your customer service is only open 8-5 Pacific time Mon-Fri. I'm not taking off work to sit on the phone or in chat to troubleshoot something that should already work. I will just return via Amazon and purchase a more intelligent brand! Thanks for wasting my time. I will review on Amazon accordingly!
Good start, keep improving please. I'm specifically referring to motion notifications for the new solar motion flood lights and landscape lights. The option is in the app but for some reason the app doesn't actually produce notifications on my phone. I've checked and double checked every setting and permission and restart, etc, and still no notifications come through. If I go into messages I can see the notification messages but they're never actual push notifications. Please update this!
I have been using the Aidot app for about a year now, and it is user-friendly and easy to use. Setting up new products is simple, as well as adding routines, which is nice, especially when you have teenagers who always leave the lights on. Our entire house is smart, so the ability to link this to our Google Mini for hands-free control of all our smart home products is great! I also love seeing the deals and sales on products through the app.
Needs a check for updates button in the firmware section.... You didn't read it, I wasn't trying to batch upgrade. I'm upgrading the firmware prior to install as I'm rolling out a new network and server this weekend. My issue is why does it take 5 full minutes to find the update, and why don't we have a button to "check for updates" on demand, instead of having to wait for the app to figure it out.
Haven't used my Sengled lights within a year and within that time, it has merged with Aidot. My smart bulbs have gone really downhill from there. There's no dedicated widget to control the lights so I have to open the application if I need immediate access to them. I get logged out randomly so I can't get immediate access to my lights. There's ads on the application sometimes while opening it. And the lights are a lot less responsive now take more time to respond from the app.
Update: Finally, someone took accountability for their errors with me. However, I have some mixed feelings about things still. I was asked to edit my reviews after they corrected them. I felt like I was almost paid off to change my opinion. Two packages lost, asked to buy products on Temu for a reimbursement with an Amazon gift card. Rubbed me the wrong way, doesn't appear legit compared to other reimbursement offers...
I spent hours troubleshooting my light cuz it would not connect to wifi just to find out it was the app I ended up installing an older version of the app to get it to work just so I could add 1 light, after several hours of BS, I should not have to download an older version just to connect to 1 light bulb, I'm a very tech-savvy person but I can imagine how frustrating this could be for someone who isn't, this is an issue for a while now the Devs need to fix it, it's highly unprofessional.
The app is functional but lacks something I think should be commonplace. I wanted to use these newer smart plugs to replace my old wemo plugs but there's one thing I can't reproduce. I can't set it up to automatically turn off the plug after an hour of being on. I used this for certain fans and lamps so that they're not left on all day long. I don't want to schedule hard times for on/off; I just want to have the device power off after a set amount of time - no matter when it powers on.
6/4/25 edit-- the first few months, this was running so well. Now I randomly have connection issues where they just stop connecting to the app and go offline. Its frustrating and has happened enough to be a huge inconvenience. × × × × × Easy to pair, no issues turning light on and off or adjusting colors
