So here's my honest take on Airbnb after using it for probably 20+ trips. The app itself works really well - searching and booking is smooth, and I love being able to message hosts directly. The review system is solid too, helps you avoid sketchy places. But man, the fees have gotten pretty ridiculous lately. And like you'll see a place for $100/night but after cleaning fees and service charges, it's more like $150. And cancellation policies can be brutal - some hosts won't refund you at all if plans change. Still, when you find a great place with a cool host, it beats any hotel experience. Just make sure you read those reviews carefully.
