The reason for 3 stars: 1. The voice training doesn't work and it's a real shame. I have cleared cache, given permission, uninstalled and reinstalled. The speak & listen part just will not work. I have a Samsung S21+. ------------ The font choice. I speak some Spanish and their "I"s look like "L"s which keeps tripping me up. A tiny detail such as a font can make a real difference. If these 2 things can be resolved, I would definitely consider purchasing the membership.
Reviews for Airlearn – Language Learning
The app was doing fine. Then it started not completing the lessons, taking me back to the beginning of that lesson. I couldn't advance to the next level. Then the app flashed a message saying "clear the airlearn cache. app has a bug", then restart. I cleared the cache and restarted the app. No luck! I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. I just did the same lesson five times without completing it. my virus software has not found any issues with my phone...... it's the app. Fix this please!
Day 1: Seems like a decent app. Would change a few things though. biggest one = being able to go over the lessons/words you already learned without a limit. Not sure why you'd have to wait for ticket reset/another day to go over things you already went through. Also would be nice to be able to have a speak option to work on pronunciation. Day 5 Update: Seems you can work on pronunciation via speaking lessons but they are rare. Still think going over lessons you've done shouldn't take hearts
This app leaves a lot to be desired as it is right now. The skeleton of an amazing app is here but it's a tad buggy and the UI needs some more work before I would seriously consider spending my money on it. For example, sometimes when text pops up on the screen I'm not able to scroll to see it all. Also, this might not be a problem for anyone else, but the app tells me that I've learned over 2100 french words, which is nowhere close to the truth.
Been using free version for 10 days now & like it. Can't say how effective the different approach is yet but so far think it's done well. Vocab list is nice, though expected flashcards. Only issue I've had is sometimes the lessons say I wasn't 100% accurate even though I hadn't missed anything. And, superficially, can't figure out how to change how my cat looks!
I would probably use it if I didn't take 1 or 2 minutes to select the correct word. Don't know if it's just me or what or if it's buggy, but I get frustrated with how efficient the app is allowing word selection and placement, it is not fluid at all and I'm spending more time getting the correct word selected sometimes on one question than it would take to complete the whole lesson. Beyond frustrated. Cant give it a one star because I wasn't able to really try it out to make a fair assessment.
Update: Now I can get everything correct but it will not give me a 100. It says 98%. I enjoy the lessons and how it explains how you use the new words. I will continue to use. Love the lessons. Just occasionally it will say words I didn't click on and I can answer wrong on some and it will say correct. Before this I was tempted to pay for this one. I love that they keep a list of every word you have learned. You can review them. You did great on the lessons. I truly enjoy this app.
I love this app. I think the cat animation is really cute. The two biggest things for me are the use of Romanized Korean and some of the pictures are kinda confusing as to what they are supposed to represent. The romanization confuses me b/c I make the mistake of looking at it when reading Hangul. I like the incentives to keep going when you feel you wanna stop. It's good for beginners who are ready to progress to elementary level. But, I give the overall all Five stars!
This app is great. I'm learning French and I like that aside from some language apps, it teaches you the culture behind a language and the reason behind certain words and pronunciation. The only problem is with the speech part of lessons. The microphone doesn't really pick up on anything you say, but there's an option to skip it anyway. I still hope that features gets fixed.
I'm not one to leave many reviews, specifically for apps, mostly because I am lazy. However, I really enjoy using this app. It's fun to use and I personally love the repetition of words to help stick to memory and the variety and use of interaction for grammar, if that makes sense. Ibwould recommend giving it a try, you don't entirely need pro as it does give you 5 free lessons a day, but if you really want to learn the language and have as much fun doing so, it wouldn't hurt to subscribe to it
