So here's my take on Airthings. I've tested a bunch of home air quality apps and this one's one of the better ones. The sensor tiles give you a quick at-a-glance view, and the detailed data and pollen forecasts are really useful. The ability to control your purifier from the app is a nice bonus too. On the downside, the setup can be a bit finicky and the app does have a learning curve. But once you get it all set up, it works pretty well. If you want a comprehensive air quality solution, Airthings is worth considering.

Description

Been using Airthings for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you track the air quality in your home and control any Airthings air purifiers you have. Pretty solid if you’re into that kinda stuff.

Here’s what you can do – there’s these sensor tiles that give you a quick color-coded look at your air quality. You can also dig into detailed graphs to see trends over time. And the app will give you a 5-day pollen forecast for your area, which is pretty handy. Oh, and you can control your Airthings purifier from the app, which is super convenient.

Look, if you’re into home automation and want to keep an eye on your indoor air quality, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the setup can be a little tricky at first – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if that’s your thing.

We have 2 devices, an Airthing and an Ecoqube. We have had them side by side for over a month as well as using them apart. They aren't even remotely...

Doesn't sync with my devices. Went back to the old app. I liked the old data visualization better anyway. Edit to respond to the developer: I don't want to troubleshoot...

The sync fails. After being forced to update to this app my devices haven't successfully synced. The app is useless. Going back to the wave app while it still exists!...
