So here's my honest take on the Albany Times Union News app. I've tested a bunch of news apps and this one's pretty decent. The content is solid - you get all the important local stories, investigations, and analysis that you can't find anywhere else. And the app itself is fairly user-friendly, though there's definitely room for improvement on the design front. The biggest downside for me is the paywall - I get that they need to make money, but having to subscribe to read everything can be a pain.
