Description
Been using the Albert Barnes Study Bible app for a couple months now. It’s basically a Bible app with in-depth commentary on every verse, written by 19th-century theologian Albert Barnes. Pretty solid if you’re into studying the Scriptures more in-depth.
Here’s what you can do – you can read the full King James Version of the Bible, and there’s Albert Barnes’ commentary right below each verse to help you understand the deeper meaning. And it’s got some cool features like bookmarking, note-taking, and audio playback so you can listen on the go. Took me a while to figure out all the different sections but once I got the hang of it, it’s been really useful.
Look, if you’re a Christian who wants to dive deeper into the Bible, you’ll probably get a lot out of this app. It’s not perfect – the interface can be a little clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you’re looking for a Bible study tool.
Editor Opinion
So here's my take on the Albert Barnes Study Bible app. I've tested a bunch of Bible apps and this one's pretty solid. The in-depth commentary is the main draw - you really get a detailed breakdown of the scriptures that goes beyond just the text. And in my experience, it's helpful for personal study or prepping for a sermon. The downside is the interface isn't the most intuitive, and it can feel a little overwhelming at first with all the different features. But overall, if you want a comprehensive Bible study tool, I'd say this is worth considering.

The most helpful resource for preachers and teachers of God's word. I have used it for years
I really like the information that's shared; it would be great if scriptures would stay in one place; they keep jumping from one place to another
Why does a Bible app need ads ?? It's the Bible it's free to translate ? This app doesn't offer anything to crazy that it needs ads.
