So here's my take on AlfredCamera Home Security app. I've tested a bunch of home security apps and this one's one of the better options in my opinion. The features are pretty robust for a free app - you get live monitoring, motion alerts, cloud storage, and more. The setup is also super easy, even for not-so-tech-savvy folks like me. The only real downsides are the occasional bugs and the limited free storage, but you can always pay for more if needed. Overall though, it's a pretty solid choice if you want to turn an old phone into a security camera.

Pros

  • Tons of features for a free app - live feeds, motion alerts, cloud storage
  • Works on older phones, so you don't need to buy new hardware
  • Easy to set up, even if you're not super tech-savvy
  • Decent video quality and reliable night vision
  • Cloud storage is handy, though the free plan is a bit limited

Cons

  • App can be buggy and crash sometimes
  • Free cloud storage is a bit stingy, have to pay for more
  • Notifications can be a little unreliable at times
  • Steeper learning curve than some other security cam apps

Description

Been using the AlfredCamera Home Security app for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that turns your old phone into a home security camera, baby monitor, pet cam, and more. Pretty solid app if you’re into setting up DIY security systems.

Here’s what you can do with it: you can set up multiple cameras around your home, get instant alerts if it detects motion, and watch live video feeds. There’s also cloud storage if you want to save recordings, which is pretty handy. And the night vision feature works really well – I’ve caught a few critters roaming around at night with it.

Look, if you’re looking to monitor your home or family without spending a ton on fancy security cameras, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the app can be a little buggy sometimes and the free storage is kinda limited – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want a easy DIY home security setup.
