Reviews for AlmostTI - TI Calc Emulator

← Back to AlmostTI - TI Calc Emulator

UPDATE: the permission issue is now gone, it's now a solid ten out of ten, and is now my goto calculator. Nice work devs. ORIGINAL: It's pretty legit, nice themed TI-84, been a pleasure using it. My only complaint is the permissions popup everytime I open the app. Causes a few second delay before I can use it, frustrating when you want to open the calculator to do some quick number crunching. Fix this issue and it's a five star for me.

Pretty good - I was using AndieGraph for the longest time, but unfortunately with Pie is isn't quite compatible. Only complaints with this app are that is seems to run a bit too fast causing the cursor to blink annoyingly fast and the power timer to turn off too soon. @dev, but not seeing any such option. There is a 'Fast forward' that makes it much faster, but nothing that makes it slower... [EDIT2] Thanks! I am using TI86 if it makes any difference. [EDIT3] Any update?

Almost exactly what I needed, but a bug makes it too frustrating to use. Any time I press a key there's a chance that it randomly doesn't register in the calc (it still vibrates on keypress so it should have been received). This means I can't be sure what I typed is what's on screen without checking every time. Would love to repurchase if this bug is fixed, I love everything else about the app Edit: I was using 83 and 84+ models, both were affected

I previously used AndieGraph which my last update no longer allows it to run. Even though there isn't any Permissions being blocked it prompts "Unless you grant AlmostTI all required permissions, it..." Each time I run the app. Also when selecting the 2nd key and Off option it disables button but doesn't close the app. Will there be an update to run TI-92?

Great upgrade from AndieGraph and well worth the cost. I just wish there were a way to upload your own skin images as none of them really fit my screen well in zoomed in mode (the buttons all fit but some of the labels don't) plus I'd like to replicate the colors of my physical calculator.

Over all good app. A bug I encountered is that when I'm moving from this app to another or vice versa the app crashes on me. Commonly happens. I would also like have added a "open last calculator" option. I use Samsung's Edge Panel and the shortcut for each calculator doesn't appear on the Edge Panel app selection.

any hope of getting this to run a TI89? also, nothing happens when I launch the app. a white flash then nothing. Samsung ultra s24* *new update fixes the white flash issue, thanks! fingers crossed for ti89 compatibility in the future

I wish the enter key was not so particular on the left side of the key position to activate. Also wish a rom could be scanned without needing to rename to a specific convention.

I like the app, but it hangs on startup frequently. Hopefully the latest update fixes this. It's an intermittent issue, so it's hard to predict.

I used to use wabbitemu but that doesn't work on my Galaxy s25. Almost TI is now working great on my since the last update. None of the other TI calculator emulators work on my S25.

sometimes needs relaunching of the app, and initial setup is a little bit involved, but I understand why they went the method they did, and it's still a really good app.

A great tool for using the calculators I already know by heart without needing to lug around a second device. I've had only positive experiences so far. There was one incident where I did have issues, but it was resolved very quickly. The 3.1.5 update wouldn't run on my phone, so I reaches out to the contact email on the page to ask for advice. Marat got back to me later that day with an update that totally fixed the issue. Great app, great team! 😁

Fixed. Would be nice if it had the same emulation options as this other ti emulation app I bought, but that one doesn't work on android 14/15. Missing the Ti89, Ti92 and Voyage 2000. The other paid Ti emu app I bought had those. At least it works now and isn't crashing like it was a few months ago. Thank you for fixing it! Dev responded and fixed the crashing issue.

Amazing app! It's very cool to have such a wide range of TI calculators right there on your phone, fully functioning just like the real thing. It brings back nostalgic feelings, I had one in school and now operating one again is a joy. Is perhaps in a future update support possible for emulation of a color screen TI-84, like the Plus C Silver Edition or Plus CE ?

edit: developer listened and fixed the bugs! Go them! Love having my trusty ti83 in my pocket for an those times a ratty old scientific calculator can't cut it! -- If they resolve the permissions bugs and the blackscreen I'll immediately change my review to 5 star

Upgraded from AndieGraph when the latest version of Android hid the menu button that let me select "larger view." This app is pretty much what I wanted, but I really wish it would launch straight into my calculator when I open the app, instead of making me select a rom. Edit (reply to developer): All I have on the long-press menu is "Upload to DropBox", "Download from DropBox", and "Delete State and Screenshot."

Excellent emulator. I greatly prefer the UI of TI graphing calculators, so it is really nice to have the "real" experience. My ONLY gripe is that I cannot find any way to import files to the calculators. I have many programs on my physical calculator that I wish I could import to this emulator. I can use TI software to download the files off my physical calculator, but there doesn't seem to be any way to import those files to this emulator.

I like it. And I love how the numbers on the viewbox aren't blurry or looking like they're low-res, 8-bit numbers. No sneaky gimmicks. No upsells. Just the app you paid for, with no ads and a pleasant emulator. Side note: I would recommend people RENAME their ROM file to a name the app specifically looks for (ie, TI84P.rom). For instance, I loaded up my ROM, but the app initially failed to open it. Once I renamed it, it opened up perfectly. Awesome job, dev(s)!

Enter key requires a long touch to register and the GUI seems like an old DOS paint bmp. it works though which is nice. I'm not sure how/why the enter key requires a long touch, but if it were an option to make it the same as a real calculator (same as all the other buttons) that would be lovely. (sorry for the previously super rude review)

Great job. Just came from using WabbitEmu up until I got a new phone and the app no longer worked. The interface is better than WE, and the haptic feedback is awesome. Changing the TI model on the fly is amazing. Only current issue is being unable to load apps (.8xp files) into the emulator. I have software written for the TI-83+ that I want to use, that also requires Celtic III compatibility or the Doors app installed. I read online that you were working on this and I hope that is still true.
