Decent manga, i'd give this 4 star if not for the ads system. Please make it more free user friendly so that at least we can get one episode each day by watching ads. I can't wait 5 - 10 days just for a locked chapter. My review -> Manga = 4 star . ads system = 1 star
Reviews for Alpha Manga: Read Isekai Manga
← Back to Alpha Manga: Read Isekai MangaSince the last update, no matter what settings I change, I keep getting notifications for every series that updates. I just want notifications for the series I follow, like the app used to do. It's especially annoying as the series I follow are always in the +1 section so I have to expand the notification to see if what I actually want to see has updated or if it's just another pointless notification
The reader itself is very good. It has a reasonable library of series. It unfortunately has a terrible micro transaction style monetary system that is severely limiting. Wait and read only allow one chapter a day and using adds for pp is also very limiting. Would prefer a subscription service instead.
Was excited for the app. Free daily ticket made it seem like you would have a good amount of reading material. But each paid chapter is 10 tickets or 1 dollar and it's only a rental. It's not permanently unlocked. Tickets costing 10 a chapter will make it harder for late readers to get invested. Say you have 50 locked chapters. That's 50$ for just one of over 25 series you'd be behind on. Personally 2 tickets per chapter seems more fair and would make the money feel less wasted.
Comparing costs of chapters vs a full manga, it costs the same amount as you would normally buy a manga, but you are only renting the chapters for about a week. It takes about 5 days of gathering tickets (both premium and standard) to read one chapter for 'free' as all chapters cost 10 tickets; the ticket cost per chapter can be misleading to a new user if the user doesn't realize before they buy tickets. Comparing to other services, such as Viz, which has a decent (although somewhat frustrating) subscription system, this app is one of the least friendly to use and does not inspire much faith for users.
It's a good app but not a fan of how I can't keep the chapters after unlocking them with tickets. I would rather they're mine to access anytime after using tickets instesd of a rental period of 7 days. I guess I'll continue to use it but pretty... Eh... 😕 If they change the ticket system similar to Tappytoon and Tapas, that would be so much better. Or even better, a monthly subscription like Manta but rental for only 7 days after ticket use is such a downer. Putting in 2-stars since there are great Shoujo titles but I might pass on this purchasing tickets. Not worth it if I can't keep them forever.
There isn't enough manga. Also, there isn't enough different types of manga. It's just shounen and a few other things. It takes too many "tickets" to read one chapter of a manga. Also the prices suck. This app needs a lot to work on, I thought that people were giving it bad ratings just cause, but this app genuinely isn't all that good.
The app is an expensive hell hole. Translations are mid. The user experience is riddled with weird interfaces. And worst of is the pricing. You unlock chapters with tickets. But one chapter costs ten tickets. And worst of you might think your buying chapters. But you loose access after a week.
It has a lot of great Manga to read and pretty easily accessible, however the price to buy chapters is higher than a lot of other apps. Also, probably the biggest problem I have is that each chapter cost the same regardless of whether or not a chapter has 15 pages or 36 pages both still cost the same amount of money. P.s $8 gets you about 10 chapters
It's not half bad, but it sure as hell isn't good either. If you could get a ticket for each time you watch an ad, that would be better. But the fact that you need around 10 tickets to see a part of a manga is absurd. Make it instead 1 ticket 1 part or 2 tickets 1 part. Not 10!? This app isn't bad, but it could be way better.
I wouldn't recommend this app for various reasons. The biggest issue is that they are simply reposting already translated manga and then charge you in order to read them if it has over so many chapters. If you genuinely want to read some of the manga on this app, it's better to just Google search it and read it from a free website. Don't get scammed out of your money.
If im paying 99 cents a chapter ( which is way more than any other reader app i use) i expect to keep it permanently, not have it expire after a week. I can buy a manga volume on nook for 7 to 10 dollars on average, and get to KEEP the book, go on Webtoons and fastpass 2 chapters for 99 cents or wait for a few weeks for it to come out for free, or get 2-6 chapters of a web comic on Webnovel for 99 cents, and, again, be able to KEEP the novel
You don't get to keep what you buy. You're renting and they don't tell you that until you're ready to purchase. Bought some tickets and then discovered you're only allowed to rent for a week. Soon as I'm out of tickets I'm dropping this app. Just isn't worth the money 🤷♂️ rather just order the physical book and it would honestly cost less.
Like the manga they have just hate the time limit for wait and read. I am a fast reader and pretty much want to read the next chapter right away so waiting 24 hrs is a drag for me.
mqnga is great but ads keep opening goigle play and recently it won't count you watching them as it will close the ad if you close google play and you don't get credit for it. you need to watch 6+ads now to get the 12 points/credit. not worth it.
Their translations and art updates are 5* worthy, but they're prohibitively expensive, the number of free chapters you can get a day without ads/ paying is 0.90 (it says 12 tickets a day, but it limits you to 6-10 ads/day) I am currently reading ONE manga on this site that I cannot fond a competing translation for anywhere, and have gotten 7 chapters by playing RSL and west game. 5 star quality of what you /do/ see. But their coat, payment, and ad system is 1*
While I don't like the payment system, I know that they just adopt the same system as what many Japanese publishers do. However, the app itself is missing many basic features. For example, they don't even have a basic page navigation in place or remembering last page read, so if I accidentally close a chapter, I would need to swipe so many times.
Great amount of comics to read. Nice variety to pick from. You only get one "wait and read for free" per day. So if you read multiple manga, gotta pick your favorite and forget the rest. The "smart list" which is your favorite manga is off to the side, not front and center like most others. Saving grace to this site is, once you catch up on a manga, it's free to read as long as you keep up. I'd change my review if the "Wait to read for free" wasn't limited to one per day for All manga.
What bothers me most is that I spend money on tickets to *Unlock Chapters For A Limited Time.* Don't know why it has to be this way, but I want to be able to check old chapters in case I forget something. But hey it wasn't so bad, their free rewards got me to try a couple mobile games. For few, malfunctioning rewards. Publish 'May I ask for one final thing?' in print, and then I'll buy your manga. When I can actually buy it, instead of renting.
Edit: I tried earning free points through their offers. In the game, it said I completed several tasks. On Alpha, it never updated and denied me my points. They are too expensive and now they won't let you earn free points. This app is a scam. It's far too expensive to rent for just 3 days. If it was the purchase price, then I would give it a higher rating. For how the app is now, only start reading if the title has less than 6 entries. Otherwise, you will have to pay a lot for a one-time read.
