Reviews for Amazon Flex

← Back to Amazon Flex

Full of bugs, there are always random functions are not working. like often takes multiple tryes to be able check in, taking minutes, just to be late from the block at the end, navigation often giving awful direction, turning around just. make me park at the opposite site of the road often adding unecessary extra rounds and minutes to the stops, often functions for reporting appearing and disappearing, contact forms often not working to driver support. obviously non of these bugs are excusable.

Highways are not updated, at times it spins out of control and flies you off into the distance. Not all stop signs are updated and sometimes there are 5 stop signs when there aren't any. The speed limit needs to be updated in the countryside. It is 40 to 50 in the countryside not 20 to 35. The app also freezes up when around full bars by a tower. This app is junk and it is very hard on all the drivers. Even at delivery you need to move the pin when you are at the location.

keep getting dinged on my deliveries saying Im not delivering all the packages when I am. Then it takes 3 weeks or more to get it corrected. what's the point of taking a picture if driver services immediately sends you a message saying it stands without even investigating it. It seems to happen when I back out of the app at the end of the block. i never had a problem with the app until they switched over to the playstore. The mapping doesn't work right half the time either.

This app has its pros and cons. One of the pros that I appreciate is based on the fact that you can earn extra money quickly. The cons are that the offers don't pay enough considering travel distance to pickup locations and delivery. Also, in the app, when trying to accept an offer, it tells you that it's unavailable and that someone has. If an offer is unavailable, then it shouldn't be shown as an available app. This is something that continues to happen. I've been with this app for 5 years.

It has too many glitches, the map is not well made, it sends you on another route, they want to lower your standing for the smallest thing that you did not do wrong My account was taken away because a third party allegedly hacked their system, and I haven't used any of that stuff for years. I've been working for Amazon for four years, and now they're coming up with this, not even with any proof. They want to help you and to end up sending you emails, a system that always says the same thing.

Hit and miss. Initially, the app worked great. 2 months in, and lately there have been many issues. When driving the map will freeze and take a bit to update. When it finally does, I've missed a turn or passed my stop altogether, and I need to turn around. Sometimes twice in the same instance. It's ridiculous. Support isn't much help as they give you the standard script to clear your cache. Many times I've had to use Google Maps to find the address then go back into the app to scan.

It's great as far as flexibility in a way. The downside is you cannot book for the whole day. You can book for 2 blocks a day through the app. Also, the pay isn't as good as it was before the pandemic & it's not competitive as far as Amazon cheating our pay when it comes to heavy packages. And these so-called 3 1/2 hr. blocks aren't that overnight when people don't answer the phone or door. We should be getting paid extra for overnight as well as some type of gas refund depending on miles used.

I was wrongly flagged for 30+ “missing” packages (my entire route) even though all were delivered. My account is now at risk, and support does nothing—no proof, no review of data logs or maps timeline that would clear me. There’s zero guarantee they won’t do this again and just terminate me. Amazon shows no interest in protecting drivers. Warning: if you’re thinking about Flex, know they can ruin your account without cause.

I do Amazon Flex on an Android, and it's glitchy. Sometimes I scan a box, and it goes blank. i have to go back and try again until it lets me go to the next screen. I've also had it freeze mid route and I had to use Waze to get to the correct address. It would also be nice if the route had known road blocks, and the best way to navigate it. It doesn't reroute you automatically. I also wish there was a way to tell the map when there is a block or slowed traffic that way other drivers can be aware

The GPS & map in this app sucks! It had me going the wrong direction or missing a road because it didn't update where I was at or which way I was going. I had to turn around 4x tonight to go back the other way or make a turn that I had missed and was half an hour late in my deliveries... actually an hour past my scheduled time so basically worked for free for that last hour! And there's no way to leave feedback in the app about my route. And 21 deliveries in just 3 hours?!? Impossible!!

A lot of these offers aren't even worth the time or travel the offers seem to just getting lower or few in between any more. The app has it moments, but the main thing I'm having issues with the sound notification for the blocks aren't coming throug, so I miss most offers going out. I'm not sure why I have the updated app and the correct phone. I constantly have to uninstall the app and reinstall it constantly. I wish I knew what that is all about, but other than that, there are no other issues.

The app will work fine, but the maps leave much to be desired. It takes you in a loop, often i drive past home, only to return 50 miles north and then drive back home. I wish there was a way to adjust it so you could choose what end of the loop you wanted to start with. Also, the app will give you the option to choose "I've parked" when you haven't even gotten to the final street, which then makes the directions glitch. It is very frustrating.

I'm very unhappy with the offers page, it shouldn't allow offer giving to under 1 second clicked, people are definitely using bots, i see other drivers with weird apps when they check in like "exact clockin time tracker" or at least that's what i read once. why not pool all the acceptance entries within 2 or 3 seconds, then close the offer, then roll for the chance with those that clicked: so people can think if the shift really works for them and is not just brute impulse to grab at least one.

The GPS is good, individual homes are shown, which helps to identify houses without numbers. Everything else with this app is garbage. It doesn't seem like anyone tested this app after its creation. It will have you drive past stops & return later, possibly on the wrong side of the road. I've parked in the same spot four times on the same run for 5 separate houses. It needs an option to adjust the order of stops & view of additional stops on the main navigation map. Too many issues to list.

Please avoid toll roads. Also, the new feature of scanning packages and going straight to taking a photo kills the battery. I scan at the van to make sure I have all the correct packages, then carry to the door and swipe to finish at the door. Sometimes the walk to the door is very far and now the camera is on the whole time. Bad for battery life. Still would like to be able to reorder stop sequence with an Edit Stops Button on the Map Tab (between Itinerary and Performance Tabs).

There has been an issue with "instant offer" notifications opening the app to the home screen as if no offer ever came thru, and this has been happening for probably a year now. I've written customer service many, many times and the latest response is they're working to fix it. Terrible. I asked about compensation for all the offers I've missed due to their app bug and I get silence. Not to mention, Amazon customer service is absolutely horrendous. They copy paste generic responses mostly.

The app can be glitchy at times, but that's usually when it requires an update. It would be nice if Google Maps were integrated into the GPS so it's able to detect better routes and road closures. Having to contact driver support to do that seems out of date. Lastly, there needs to be more effort to block the use of bots. It's harder to get a higher paying route because of it.

This app needs a lot of improvements, especially maps and access to same-day deliveries at 3:15 a.m. The delivery points are poorly located, and if you get a no-pick list, things get even worse. Most buildings don't have access, and customers want things delivered to their door—it's the most absurd thing. If you order something, make sure the delivery driver has access.

#1. App is very glitchy starting up, but once it finally opens up it appears to work fine. Although I have never gotten any further than booking a block and then removing myself from that block. #2. This is the main reason why I did not continue on using this app to make extra money....you want me to drive around delivering packages in my vehicle for a 4 hour period of time and use all my gas up and all you want to offer me is $89 at best? You can't even book multiple blocks for the same area!

Supposedly it's against Amazon's terms of service to use a bot to get blocks, but it seems as though you can't get any without one. Every single time a favourable block pops up, it's immediately taken by a bot & you can tell it's a bot because the other shifts that don't meet the bot's search criteria are left untouched. No matter how quick you are, you can't beat them. I wish Amazon moved to an entirely reservation only style, rather than the chaos that is the refresh button.
