The music selection is good, but the UI is really frustrating. I don't find it intuitive at all, buttons often don't do what I would expect, and it takes too much effort to just get to things like a specific album you want to listen to. Examples: listening to an album and click "Add to my music" should favorite that ALBUM, right? No. It will add each song individually to your My Music page. I listen to lots of different types of music, and I do not want them all blended into one giant playlist.

Horrible Interface! I searched and found a song and wanted to add it to a playlist. The options available are limited to adding to "my music,"then you have to go to my music and find it again, but you can't search for it because you get the same limited options. So I have to find it in a list of songs - hundreds of songs. Once you sort this list and manually find the song, you will have many options, including add to playlist. I added an artist to favorites, I have to select each song to delete

I have been increasingly frustrated with Amazon Music. I used to be able to play songs on repeat and my playlists played songs in the order I set them up in but now it "shuffles" them and changes over to non-playlist songs after about 2/3 of the original playlist. I pay enough for my Prime membership as it is and I am unwilling to add a $10.99 per month Unlimited subscription to get these types of features, if it offers them at all. Streaming usually runs smoothly unless you are outside.

The music selection is great. Everything else not so. The app crashes at random times. When choosing a song, you have to click the song two or three times for it to register. Shuffling a Playlist with a bunch of songs is pointless because it plays the same songs everytime. It also takes a long time to load regardless if on wifi or 5g when starting up.

it was very okay a few years ago. The most recent updates have broken some of the more conventional functions. Want to hear the top played songs of an artist? Here's are 2 and then a bunch of random autoplay of artists that are very loosely tied to the genre. Want to make a playlist? Have some of your hand-picked songs from albums with versions you wanted to avoid and then lose half of your playlist because "reasons." And there's the classic app crash. It's aight, guys. Try Spoofy instead.

I've been a satisfied Amazon music user for 7+ years and this new update is going to make me switch to some other app. Absolutely terrible, no more option to add a song to your library, only an option to add to a certain playlist. I don't use playlists, I prefer to just put my whole library on shuffle, if I can't just add songs to my library without adding it to a playlist, then I'll be finding a new streaming service to use.

I switched to Spotify. I was listening to my podcasts on here to keep my music and podcasts separate. Amazon would skip around on episodes, so if I was listening to a multiple part episode, it might not go in order. Then, it would frequently freeze on a screen where I couldn't go to the specific podcast to find the episode I wanted. It would just repeatedly start the wrong episode.

The selection of music is fine. I can find what I want. The app itself is trash though. Constantly crashing. Takes forEVER to load albums. Sometimes songs get greyed out even if they are available. I've had to make playlists of albums because that's the only way I could listen to some songs as they'd be greyed out on the album page. Edit: this app just keeps getting worse. Id give 0 stars if it were possible. Worst streaming app ever.

it would be nice if the app actually saved your settings and the pin button actually worked. I found a new band yesterday that I really wanted to listen to today so I searched them up and pinned them, since the last thing that you listened to doesn't always show up the next time you open the app, but as usual it didn't work and I can't remember the name of the band. it's hard to believe that any app wants you to pay for something that they can't be bothered to make work correctly.

EDIT: this app absolutely is horrendous and has been going into a steep decline for at least a year now. Offline music? Nope. They claim its there but a simple Google search is going to show you thousands of complaints otherwise. Traveling? the music you purchased back home is no longer available. Use a different service. great. reinstalling it twice a week. four times today alone. reporting the app. if you wont fix it get rid of it.

App closes or crashes regularly. This used to happen occasionally but has become a common occurrence lately. Subscription is great, and the library is huge, but not being able to listen to music without needing to restart the app is horrible. Please fix this problem! Update as of 2025, app crashes continue to be a problem. it is unclear why the app will suddenly stop working, but relaunch and can listen until next crash. minutes to hours. Update: negative 10 stars. I can't use the "artists" tab. It gives an error and is just a neverending blue circle. I hate this app with a burning passion. It has logged me out and deleted all my downloads, and that's just the start of the problems I've had with this app over the years. It's the only way I can play MP3s I bought from Amazon, so it's my only choice to listen to music I PAID FOR. I'll never purchase another album from Amazon. This app is as useless as you know whats on a boar.

Used to be my favorite music streaming app. Now it just constantly plays songs we've "thumbs downed" or disliked instead of playing different songs. Does this even when you create a new channel with a different artist or song. Also plays the same songs over and over and over again. It never used to do this until somewhat recently. If I could cancel the subscription I've had for over a decade and get a refund I would, but unfortunately I paid for the whole year up front like usual.

This has been busted for years. Crashes randomly. You're prompted to upgrade evey time you open it, even with an existing, paid unlimited subscription. If you follow an artist, you still won't get notified when they release new music. Randomly have songs become "unavailable", so you have to search and re-add them to your playlists. I could go on... there's so much. -100 stars for the entire Amazon Music service.

Several bad design choices ruin my fun with this app. For example, when you search a song, it automatically will autoplay other music afterward without letting you go back to the song you searched for! I can’t go back and listen to the one song I searched for for some reason, and it's the bane of my existence with this app. Even with the "previous song" button, you have to search it again. Idk why they thought not being able to go back to the song I searched for was a good idea.

So often I tap something in the app, like a song, and nothing happens. The app isn't unresponsive, it's still running very smoothly, and it even gives feedback on my press, it just does nothing and then 30 seconds later it will finally play the song. Now it also randomly stops playing songs all the time in the background, shows wrong thumbnails, has a buggy UI for downloads, is randomly slow for no reason. Avoid this app.

This app has been absolutely awful. At least once a week, I have an issue with it. I've had to delete it and redownload it at least four times, and every time, it un-downloads all my music so I need to redownload everything. I'm currently redownloading my songs again, but now it's doing this cute and quirky thing where when I download a song IT DELETES IT FROM MY LIBRARY!!! The only reason I'm still using this god forsaken app is because my parents are paying for it.

I have Amazon Music Unlimited and it does not shuffle the songs. I have over 400 songs on just one playlist, and have never heard half of them. I use the app a lot, on my echo, phone, and in the car. I always use shuffle mode, but it doesn't work, it plays the same group of songs over and over. My 1st playlist doesn't show up for me to add songs to it anymore. These problems needs to be fixed or I'll have to think about changing to a different app.

There are probably worse music apps out there but this is the worst I've ever had to use. Navigation is awful, every screen interacts differently, sometimes it won't let you play a SPECIFIC song you have purchased and downloaded - I have to start the whole album at a different track and skip forward until it gets to the one I want. If I sold music this is the last platform I'd want it on, it's a small step up from just "doesn't work"

This app is really great if you have the Premium subscription but then once my free trial of that ran out, the quality of the app decreased dramatically. Like, technically - it doesn't even work right. It will play two songs and then just stop and say "restarting station" and then I have to close out of the app entirely to get it to restart and then it plays the same song I just listened to. It did this to me three times in a row the other day and I got so frustrated, I switched to another app.
