Description
Been using Ambient Weather Network for a couple months now. It’s basically a hyperlocal weather app that gives you super detailed info on the weather in your specific area. Pretty solid app if you’re into weather and forecasting.
Here’s what you do: You can see real-time weather data from over 300,000 stations and sensors. There’s also a bunch of live weather cams so you can check out conditions in different spots. And the maps are really detailed – you can zoom in and see things like temperature, humidity, wind speed, and precipitation down to a granular level.
Look, if you’re into weather and need more than just a basic forecast, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a little clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want super accurate hyperlocal weather info.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on Ambient Weather Network. I've tested a bunch of weather apps and this one's pretty impressive in terms of the level of detail it gives you. The maps are super informative and I like how you can see data from real weather stations and cameras. It's not the prettiest app out there, but it makes up for it with the depth of information. The only real downside is that it can take some time to get used to all the features. But if you're a weather nerd like me, it's worth the learning curve.
