The only thing that is consistent with this app/website is the payment schedule.. They never miss taken a payment on-time but 70% of the time the app does NOT work!! Haven't been able to get into my account for months and NO ONE will help!! Have to stand in line and have rep plug-in my email address everytime I make a purchase so I can never pre-purchase and get good seats!!
I will give this app 4 stars when you tell your customers you're charging them hidden fees. It used to be that you could order food ahead of time, for free. Now, you no longer have that option. What you offer is to have food taken to your seat & then you charge the persons card 3.55 for a fee. They don't realize it because you don't itemize the final cost at the end or tell them. 3 times I used this before I found out & all 3 times my food was late so I grabbed it at the counter. Very sneeky
The app makes it incredibly easy to buy tickets in advance of arriving (and order food for pick up at concessions, depending on the theater). It facilitates speedy lines or even helps to avoid lines altogether! Also, I love that I can watch trailers and learn about current and upcoming films with the info it provides about each movie. This app is a MUST HAVE, if you are a Premiere or A-list member!
Why is this app so awful? It doesn't handle any input for your profile at all, constant error loops. It says I'm signed in but any purchase asks me to sign in at which point it won't take my info. Won't send forgot password, won't let me sign up again. The UI (when it works) is pretty, and has a nice feel for browsing movies. The lag and errors make it impossible to use.
I don't know what's going on, but I keep getting error messages and "time is up we had to release your selections." These are after 20 seconds have elapsed. I've uninstalled, re-installed, gone from wifi to mobile data and back...to no avail. I'm going to have to cancel my A List membership. UPDATE 6/4/23 I have tried everything I know. I am unable to reserve seats or buy tickets online. Very frustrating!
if you're an a list member, im not sure how to purchase one ticket from your membership and one for someone else (friend/family) that isnt a child. ive been having to purchase the other ticket online without signing in. it would be nice to be able to do this. everything else is great. (i might also be somehow doing something wrong and not seeing some sort of option appear that would let me do this)
It's okay, convenient. But the choices for ordering snacks, food or drinks in advance don't seem to be a extensive as what's available at the theater. Also, as an "insider" we're supposed to be able to get up to 4 tickets online without a fee. Through the app, for two tickets I was charged a "convenience fee" of $3.99 and additionally, a "service fee" of $1.00. Talk about Nicole & dime-ing us to death like we don't already pay through the nose for the drinks and snacks.
This app is terrible. Half the time I open it, I get a "A network error occurred. Tap to retry." error, even though other apps work just fine. It's hard to manage multiple theaters, and it routinely advertises movies not available in my area. Seat reservation requests fail with no reason given. The app is also invasive, trying to use my location even when I'm not using it. It's pushy, always trying to sell me another ticket. It's more about data collection than easily buying tickets.
The most recent updates to this app make it better to use. Your stubs rewards and card can be accessed, you can buy tickets or cancel purchased tickets, see trailers and see trailers that played before your movie. You can also order food and snacks via the app to be waiting when you arrive. It's a must if you go to the movies at all, especially if you are a stubs member.
