easy to navigate for the most part, needs to be more simplified. The family tree tool is very confusing when it doesn't display the whole thing. Maybe a tutorial on how to navigate the family tree would be great or just easier to navigate. make the app more phone user friendly. Always fun learning about your family and to know how and where they lived.

Great app, but I have a few complaints. When I click on another line in my family, it tends to overlap with the line I was looking at before instead of making it go away. Additionally, the subscription price is crazy high. I used to be able to get hints for potential ancestors on the free plan, but it requires a subscription now, which is upsetting. That being said, I really enjoy Ancestry. It's helped me learn a lot about my heritage.

Horrible! They have so many technical problems/system not working problems it is ridiculous. Definetly not worth the monthly subscription fee I will start having to pay if I can't figure out how to cancel in the next few days. Very disappointed! I used this app about 6 or 7 years ago, it was much better then. Hate the new format.

FRUSTRATING! Much of it seems to be AI generated. Not sure I like it. Many changes since I last used Ancestry. The two-step verification didn't work. I got the verification, but then Ancestry wouldn't connect to my 1 match; it just sat there with the little loading wheel loading....loading....loading. I gave up. NOT HAPPY. This site is pretty expensive & to have these issues feels like a rip off.

I've loved this app for years but the last couple of updates are really buggy!! Cannot tag people in photos! When you click edit, it briefly shows the screen, then loops back to the original photo page and tells me to download the latest version. But that didn't fix the issue. It shows a green leaf for a hint on the profile, but when you click it, it says there are no hints. Keeps crashing when I try to navigate! Roll the changes back!!

it's good if you just want to look at your DNA regions/percentages and then nothing else , but quite often the app crashes. I just got updated information, it said "new!" I clicked it, CRASH. So often it will crash, freeze, or just not do what I'm wanting. Its terribly frustrating trying to build your tree and have to keep closing and reopening the app and find where you were working again over and over. and ya'll want me to pay for a subscription but can't even have your app in working order.

I started building my tree recently. I'd made decent progress, but in the last week or so, it's ground to a halt. Either I can't save a record, add a relative, search any records of any kind, or even open up saved records. It's always something different. Every time. I've uninstalled and reinstalled so many times that I've lost count, only for it to work for maybe one addition of something, only to start experiencing one of the previously stated problems again. I don't know what to do.

8 Sep: Tried everything suggested - still getting error to contact support. Update 26 Aug 25: Still disappointed and now frustrated. Now I get an error when I try to save. Tried everything suggested - no Bueno. Just updated program five minutes ago. Previous review: Disappointed. Was working great until last update. Now when you click on an external link - it just sits there and spins.

The online version is so much better. When you sign in, your tree is downloaded, but after this it is useless as any new records you find and add to your tree, the tree doesn't update. If you add more people then these are not displayed. You have to clear the cache and sign back in for it to update, is it only me having this issue?

Ever since the recent update, I have had no access to Newspapers through the app, which is EXTREMELY frustrating since I'm paying monthly for both Ancestry & Newspapers. Apparently, I'm not the only one having this issue, and this is a huge issue that should be resolved right away. I can see a lot of people canceling their subscriptions due to this problem, including myself. Newspapers is very beneficial to finding out more with your family tree. It's helped me tremendously! Please fix this 🙏
