Love the content, but the app definitely needs some fine tuning. I recently installed the TV app version on my Chromecast, and although it downloaded just fine, it would not open even after restart. I tried again the next day, and it finally opened, but it would not readily allow me to login to my account. The phone scan website would not open, so I tried the browser, which said the code was expired. So I tried again, finally with success. Definitely most work of any TV app I've ever used.

The one star is for the app. The app would not cast to our Fire stick from either of our Android phones. After multiple reboots, uninstalling, installing troubleshooting, unplugging and plugging in we gave up. Please fix the app. We love the film. I would give the film more than 5 stars. It is excellent and biblically accurate. We would be willing to fund the cause if the app worked. But we don't want to spend money on something that doesn't work.

The app is great but if you're going to charge for people to watch most stuff you need to get it set up on more devices. Mirroring isn't always easy and can be a hassle. I have 3 different devices and not one has access to the app unfortunately. Can't wait for the app to work to become available on more devices in the future so it can be enjoyed by more.

They make it beyond difficult to cancel beware. My membership renewal was 2/1 when you follow the steps they say it is not there. I also did the membership through the app not another place like they are saying. They have tried to take funds 3 different times. Even if I wanted to keep them no where does it even allow you to update card. They also do not let you send a message to cancel that way. I have now blocked them through my bank.

As an update to my first review I am very impressed with the chosen tech support team. I contacted them regarding the update issue where I was left with a black screen. I got several prompt replies. They put a fix in place and once I had uninstalled/reinstalled and cleared the cache and cleared the data from the app in settings it works again. I appreciate the prompt responses.

Love everything about the Chosen. However, the app upgrade isn't working for me. I see the trailers for the new season are available from other sources, where as in previous years there eer constant updates on the app. Am not receiving any new content. Have not found a way to communicate to the administrator. Also overall the app has become too busy and unwieldy which all the other production content that's apart from the Chosen. I feel I don't even want to use it anymore.

Was a great thing until guildmember access only on items came into play. Even after waiting for them to become available to non-guild members, they won't play. Stuck watching an eternal spinning loading circle on a pitch black screen. Loved the content; just can't afford yet another subscription. The non-member option was nice to be able to watch decent shows with my family. Maybe it will be fixed with the next update...

The show is AMAZING! App is good but a little slow, and the subtitles don't seem to work when I cast it to my Amazon FireTV for some reason. The subtitles work on the app just fine, but they disappear once I cast. Could that be fixed? Still, just a minor inconvenience. Small price to pay for being able to access such a great show for free. 😊

I can't take it anymore. The show is fantastic. But this app is hot garbage. The freezing in the middle of episodes is understandable. Maybe issue with network, etc... However, the inability to open the episode back up and skip ahead to where I left off is a major let down. The episode will start again from the beginning, even if you skip ahead in the app before casting to the tv. And then, if you try to fast forward on the tv you will maybe get 2-10 second skips at a time with buffering pauses.

I love this portrayal of Jesus. Very well done. The app is simple and easy to use, although I've been having trouble trying to enable the subtitles in the TV. In the app works fine but once I start broadcasting it doesn't show the option in the TV for audio or subtitles, and I can't control it on the app once it starts streaming. Besides that, everything else is great.

Smooth and seamless. Great quality visual and audio, great to download the episodes or stream. With our internet, it streams well with no stops or glitches. If I want to watch an episode on the go, I download it ahead of time. Amazing that they make it available for free. The quality of the show itself is incredible. The one and only "problem" is you have to turn subtitles on each time you watch an episode. So it doesn't remember your settings with subtitles. Overall it's excellent!

Absolutely incredible! The acting is incredibly well. The cinematography is excellent. The message, spot on! I heard the ad running, while I was working, and immediately dropped everything I was doing to see what it was. My first thought was: I hope this is a movie, cause I want to watch it. I watched the entire ad. Then learned it was an app. Downloaded it right away, and I WAS SHOCKED at the quality of video, the care taken to produce the app, the amount of languages and subtitles. A++

I absolutely love this series, but it is unfortunate that it is very rare that I can cast it to my TV. Tried it with Amazon Fire Stick and Roku. Followed all the troubleshooting instructions I could find, and just cant get it to work. I was successful once out of a hundred times. Its really is frustrating because its the thing I want to watch most. Youtube fine, any other casting thing works fine, but my favorite series just will not.

Amazing but could use a little work. The ads are ok and well worth it hear testimonials but yall could throw in a few ads about ur gift shop aswell, just to mix it up and help make some more money to help more episodes. Also casting isn't that great and maybe adding a skip intro option would be nice. Other then that...man is the show AMAZING!! I've watched "the book of Jhon" the movie and it was good but this...this is so much more Immersive! If ur like me and it's hard to read this is for u!

Like pretty much everyone else said, the show is great, but the app is unsound. If you try to download episodes for offline viewing, the episodes are highly prone to freezing at a certain point in the episode and preventing you from watching. There are also more and longer buffering times than with other apps, but that is to be expected from a nascent, crowdfunded app like this. However, the disfunctionality of offline viewing is not to be expected and needs to be addressed ASAP. Great show, tho

Love the app, and have been using it for over a year. But today (May 24, 2024) the app just crashes when I try to start it. There are no updates available, and I've rebooted my phone. There was a system update on my phone (Android) last night, so perhaps that is contributing. Other apps seem unaffected. Hoping Angel Studios sees this so they can fix it!

the app is super slow and lags bad. I've been trying to sign in the past two days and it isn't working. it keeps saying to check my Internet connection, but I have a strong connection. I tried to do it over data as well and the same thing happens. I've tried deleting and reinstalling three times now and that hasn't helped either. I love the movies and the drybar comedy and want to watch them but the app just doesn't seem to be as good as it could.

The shows are really good. BUT....this app has issues. Doesn't play the next episode in sequence and when I use it on my smart tv it won't allow me to hit the back button to get out of the current screen and back to the main screen. I have to force close it on my tv.

I absolutely love this app and. being a guild member. Right now the app is frozen! I finally got it to open but it automatically scrolls what is showing on livestream but it won't let me go anywhere else. I can't read my messages (it shows I have two), I can't go to see what new movies are available to vote on, etc. Please fix this asap. Thanks!

The app is great. Their customer service is nonexistent. I tried for over a week to cancel membership just for the month because money is tight. I tried on my phone app, the website, and Roku. All said to sign in on where I originally signed up. I tried to contact them to help me figure out why I couldn't cancel or pause. Sent multiple emails. Still haven't heard back and was charged today. I was only going to cancel until next month. Now I'm not coming back at all.
