Love the content, but the app definitely needs some fine tuning. I recently installed the TV app version on my Chromecast, and although it downloaded just fine, it would not open even after restart. I tried again the next day, and it finally opened, but it would not readily allow me to login to my account. The phone scan website would not open, so I tried the browser, which said the code was expired. So I tried again, finally with success. Definitely most work of any TV app I've ever used.

The one star is for the app. The app would not cast to our Fire stick from either of our Android phones. After multiple reboots, uninstalling, installing troubleshooting, unplugging and plugging in we gave up. Please fix the app. We love the film. I would give the film more than 5 stars. It is excellent and biblically accurate. We would be willing to fund the cause if the app worked. But we don't want to spend money on something that doesn't work.
The app is great but if you're going to charge for people to watch most stuff you need to get it set up on more devices. Mirroring isn't always easy and can be a hassle. I have 3 different devices and not one has access to the app unfortunately. Can't wait for the app to work to become available on more devices in the future so it can be enjoyed by more.
They make it beyond difficult to cancel beware. My membership renewal was 2/1 when you follow the steps they say it is not there. I also did the membership through the app not another place like they are saying. They have tried to take funds 3 different times. Even if I wanted to keep them no where does it even allow you to update card. They also do not let you send a message to cancel that way. I have now blocked them through my bank.
As an update to my first review I am very impressed with the chosen tech support team. I contacted them regarding the update issue where I was left with a black screen. I got several prompt replies. They put a fix in place and once I had uninstalled/reinstalled and cleared the cache and cleared the data from the app in settings it works again. I appreciate the prompt responses.
Love everything about the Chosen. However, the app upgrade isn't working for me. I see the trailers for the new season are available from other sources, where as in previous years there eer constant updates on the app. Am not receiving any new content. Have not found a way to communicate to the administrator. Also overall the app has become too busy and unwieldy which all the other production content that's apart from the Chosen. I feel I don't even want to use it anymore.
Was a great thing until guildmember access only on items came into play. Even after waiting for them to become available to non-guild members, they won't play. Stuck watching an eternal spinning loading circle on a pitch black screen. Loved the content; just can't afford yet another subscription. The non-member option was nice to be able to watch decent shows with my family. Maybe it will be fixed with the next update...
The show is AMAZING! App is good but a little slow, and the subtitles don't seem to work when I cast it to my Amazon FireTV for some reason. The subtitles work on the app just fine, but they disappear once I cast. Could that be fixed? Still, just a minor inconvenience. Small price to pay for being able to access such a great show for free. 😊
I can't take it anymore. The show is fantastic. But this app is hot garbage. The freezing in the middle of episodes is understandable. Maybe issue with network, etc... However, the inability to open the episode back up and skip ahead to where I left off is a major let down. The episode will start again from the beginning, even if you skip ahead in the app before casting to the tv. And then, if you try to fast forward on the tv you will maybe get 2-10 second skips at a time with buffering pauses.
I love this portrayal of Jesus. Very well done. The app is simple and easy to use, although I've been having trouble trying to enable the subtitles in the TV. In the app works fine but once I start broadcasting it doesn't show the option in the TV for audio or subtitles, and I can't control it on the app once it starts streaming. Besides that, everything else is great.
