Really good resource, but not impressed by the sudden conversion of a one off purchase app to an annual subscription model after the purchase. I do not want or need upgrades, so thank you for now allowing continued access to the original purchased version.

I was holding out on subscribing to the app (even having already paid for it once before), waiting for the devs to deliver on their word that the new payment scheme helps fund the addition of more content to the app. Regrettably, the last update visible to me on the play store is exactly the same update where the new payment scheme was applied. To me, this says app received no content updates since then. I regret finally giving up on that hope. I will stick with the old version, it's 5-stars.

The new content and notes are amazing! Thanks for developing such a great app and making regional anaesthesia more accessible. I was also caught up in "subscription-gate" but rode it out as I liked the app, all sorted now. I will happily pay the yearly subscription when it next comes around. Thanks for acknowledging the suboptimal rollout of the paid subscription, and good luck with the iOS update!

I paid in full for this app! Now that I turned it on for a case after a month, it is saying I need to pay AGAIN for a subscription system? What nonsense. Give me my money back. Don't want your stupid app! Google apps autoupdates! It is useless to write in description "don't update if you don't want subscription." How was I supposed to know I'd keep my autoupdates off!?

I paid for this app a while back and now don't have any access whatsoever without paying an annual subscription. The option of going back to old app isn't being offered. I have attempted to email the team for a resolution - but would otherwise expect a refund if old app access is not granted. EDIT - Developer had excellent communication and replied with a satisfactory solution.

Guys seriously we've already purchased this app and now u want us to pay for a subscription. I can understand this for new users who are getting a free app, but those who purchased this app previously are also those who have been giving you free advertising and good reviews. Now I'm being told to pay after a 2 week free trail. Not great.... And the offer of a free year subscription doesn't make up for those who bought this as a one time purchase. Can't recomment this app anymore unfortunately

Used this app in residency - worked great. They switched to a subscription model (instead of one time purchase). Now when I pay for the subscription, it's perpetually "Loading Data" and doesn't let you see any sono-anatomy/block locations. Clearing app data worked

Really thorough and helpful assistant for regional anaesthesia. I was sceptical about the subscription model having paid full price for the app before. Being fair though it's clear this money is being put to use as there's now a large amount of new blocks added as well as lots of extra infographics and explanation to existing blocks. In summary, was marketed very poorly but the underlying content is really excellent and probably worth the subscription fee

I bought this app when there were no further additional fees. They have now changed it to an annual subscription service and have removed my access. This is without warning. The paid for app was not cheap. Appalling customer communication and customer service. I want a refund

Sudden change to subscription model after taking our money with full purchase is a bit underhanded. Update: yet another backflip by the anso team. When the subscription model first came out they promised us a downscaled version without ongoing subscription fees and now this is no longer an option. Very underhanded group of developers who used to stand for improving anaesthetic training.

Bait and switch. I must echo the recent sentiment - you have charged us for an app, then switched to a subscription model demanding more money, with no forewarning and no refund for the purchase. This is very poor form, and very disappointing.

Great app, well worth the subscription to have access to decent reference images. I appreciate several versions of the same block to highlight varying anatomy/appearances. Good block tips and key information, it's been very helpful to myself and colleagues. Works out to be about 50p a month so I think I'll manage.

Update 25th aug - having previously been very frustrated by the change of payment policy (meaning I was initially unable to access the app any more without re-purchasing as a single subscription), I have now followed the developers' advice re. Re-downloading and am delighted to say that the app is working for me again. Have, as a result, amended my review score to reflect the fact that this really is a great regional app. Would highly recommend, even as a subscription service.

You know, we PAID for this app. To suddenly build in designed obsolescence after we actually gave you money, in order to allow you to further collect yearly fees is greedy and stupid. I've been using this for years and the minimal amount of change I've seen does not warrant that kind of fee anyway. I used to recommend this app to all my trainees and colleagues at US workshops I teach. No longer.

Been using for more than a year. It's my go-to app for block revision and anatomy reminders. It's easy to load up and flick through a block between patients and is a helpful aid for teaching in the anaesthetic room too. Most blocks have multiple sonoanatomy examples showing some variation which is helpful. (Don't let negative reviews put you off as those issues are not ongoing and have not affected me over the last year plus) Edited to better reflect my point.

To echo some of the preceding reviews, after agreeing to a one time pay, I get the surprise of having to commit to a subscription, something I never agreed to when I initially paid for this app! Additionally, it was interesting to learn that my coworker, an apple user, did not have to experience this clear bait & switch! I have no interest in any new updates that come with paying additional costs. I would like to have access to the original app for which I paid for under the agreed provisions!

Well..... Switched phone and had to re-download and low and behold...... Even though I paid for it before, it's not a paid subscription. Very disappointing to those of us who did the one time purchase before. This is my favorite regional app and I've recommended it to everyone because it was only a one time payment...

Great app, bought it three weeks ago. All of a sudden it is making me sign in with google and does not recognize my subscription. Paid 9 $ and the app wont work now... seems a bit pricey to get 3 weeks of use for that price.... If this is intentional... changing from one time pay model to subscription, should grand father your original customers in. I deserve a refund otherwise, as i was led to believe that I was paying to use the app in perpetuity which is false advertising.

Surprise update that changes app to subscription. Paid for the app in full. At least grandfather your early supporters. (5/13/22) Please forward link to pre-subscription apk. I do not wish to move forward with new pay structure. Also, contrary to your statement, 1 free year is not provided. The app insist on payment or no fuctionality (5/16/22) Still no way to receive the free year. It only provides the option for free trial then payment. I just want a version prior to the subscription model.

I purchased the app and it was OK for what it was. All of a sudden, just recently, the app does not want to open unless I "subscribe" for extra money. This is a bait and switch as I paid for it once and now I can't use it. I subscribed and already a whole day later it does not open stating "loading images - it can take a while". Very disappointed with it. I am going to drop the subscription and delete it from my device.
