Excellent Customer Support! We purchased our cameras end of November 2024 and they work fairly well. We had some issues along the way; however, the online support team have been wonderful. They replaced one of the cameras without any hesitation. I had the pleasure of chatting with several support people (don't know some of their names), but I chatted with Ann initially and recently Julie in the Escalation team. Simply exceptional! Battery life could be better but cameras are easy to charge.

Yeah, you updated the app and I can no longer connect to my cams, wants me to switch to smooth mode (low quality) and just hangs forever. Didn't work well before, apparently 200mbps up and down with an 8ms latency and -50 to -40db of wifi signal isn't enough for this app. I get an alert sometimes, but can't see whats happening... kind of pointless for security at that point. Cam quality and app layout are great, just doesn't work. yes I pulled my ladder out and reset all cams, reinstalled app.
my app shows that the doorbell is always "offline" even when the battery is fully charged. It always has trouble finding a signal and suggests switching network modes (but still doesn't connect to the camera). even when I am standing at the doorbell to ring it with the app open, I do not receive a notification that the doorbell has rung.
I installed SolarCam D1 Classic Kit a couple of months ago. I installed the app on iPad and my Android mobile. So far everything works great, It looks the connection is good & I can monitor any movements from my workplace, and home & check the records. I think the only issue is they should put an AAA battery as a backup on the camera base cause sometimes I receive an alert that says if you use the camera lots you will go out of power. In general, I am happy with the style & the performance.
I've got 2 cameras (doorbell and indoor) and both work well in the app. The app is good, I have no immediate concerns. I would only like to suggest a "lock" button to lock the angle of the camera in place, as I occasionally trigger the Panorama view by accident when trying to zoom in or out. Overall, the app is easy to use and does the job. I got my second camera at a promotion price through the ad on the app, so I'm satisfied.
Overall this is a great system and app. My two issues that are keeping me from 5 stars and that every single clip I try and go back and view in the app will always skip the first 4 seconds of the clip. I can see the whole clip if I download the video onto my device however the app doesn't have an option in the settings to change the video format, and the default video player by Google doesn't seem to support the file format that the app uses, meaning I need a 3rd party app to watch my clips. bad
GLITCHY! Worked great at first but now it crashes constantly. I have to keep logging out and uninstalling the app to and reinstall it. It freezes on the camera feeds and isn't able to show live video. After the 5th time of uninstalling just to install it again, it gets very annoying. Please fix this!
So far, my experience has been great. The app allows you to view and name all your cameras and sends alerts/notifications instantly. It records events for each camera, which you can review and save, delete or just keep (they will be replaced with new recordings eventually). You can also view the live camera feed at any time. It does get updated, so that's good and it seems to work really well.
it serves its purpose IF you can get them to connect or sync to your home base. most times you can't and reaching out to customer service is useless they do not provide any type of help other than to keep repeating what you can clearly read in the instructions booklet. if you cannot get your cameras to sync to your home base or to connect them on your app at all I would suggest getting a refund you won't get any help from customer service. for months I've had issues trying to connect to no avail
Bought these cameras on prime day to replace another brand that I'd had for years. These cameras are so much better. I love that they're solar and the tracking option is a great feature. I love that I can rotate them to get a different view if needed. Had some technical issues at the beginning but support was great and everything is running fine now.
This app is easy to use, intuitive, and works great for controlling and managing Aosu video cameras. The camera device setup was made even easier with the app taking a step by step, instructive approach to get the system up and running. The response time from receiving a notification to loading an event clip and/or going to live feed is much faster than any other system I have used. The settings are also easy to find and adjust while the camera control (pan-tilt) works with no lag. Great app!
When it works it's great but the app crashes a lot which is really unfortunate when you're using it as a baby monitor. We'll wake up in the middle of the night and the connection has been lost but no matter how many times you refresh and close the app it won't reconnect. You finally have to restart your phone and even then it doesn't always work. It crashes on average about twice per night when the app is open constantly. When it's closed and reopened it won't connect 30% of the time.
The camera/app have been great, but the alarm button is in such a bad spot. It's at the bottom of the screen with the light, sound, SD/UHD, record & capture image options. It's placed 2nd to the left, between the ligh & sound options. It's so easy to set off the alarm & it's loud. I have a hard time shutting it off as well. A red alert pops up & if you're trying to select the option at the bottom to turn it off, it ends up going another round, or more. It'd nice to have it separated.
As many on the reviews have said the camera app is really slow when you are trying to view events. Some times I have to force stop the app and clear the cache to load the video. My frustrarion is also with the cameras the cameras some times disconnect from the wifi and it says that it has lost connection. My wireless router is very close to the cameras. The app needs improvement.
App no longer functions to delete recordings. As of today I can no longer delete recordings from my local storage memory card. I select all recorded clips to delete then get a "failed to delete" error. I noticed after the latest update on 9/11/25 that I wasn't getting notifications in a timely manner when someone arrived at my back door, they would show up an hour or more later. I should have stuck with a Eufy doorbell and app. I've never had a problem with it.
Update: This system cannot work if you have filled the capacity on the base. The system is advertised that this doesn't happen, it rewrites the prior. You have to rewrite the memory card for it to function. First: This used to work great. the last two updates have made it completely irrelevant. you have to restart everything to get views on one event and then less than a minute later, you cannot view anything. If it is not fixed fast, I am returning the whole system and deleting everything.
it works....sometimes. usually i have to exit the app multiple times and restart it in order to see the footage or a live view(think 3-5 minutes for each camera). 'sometimes' is unacceptable. ive had these cameras for over half a year now and its been an issue since day one. 'sometimes'....im looking out from our house myself. if i wanted 'sometimes' i would just not have cameras at all. auso needs to fix the issues with their app and products and maybe i could recommend them. not happy.
Great camera hardware. App needs work but is serviceable. The app is easy enough to setup. The Multiview option is a nice though not as good as the full view. Deleting footage cant be done unless the camera is on and still connected to the home base, otherwise you cant delete local footage without formatting the MircoSD Card. AI alerts are interesting, pretty accurate for the most part. Overall not bad. Just wish the app had a dark mode.
So nice when it works. It's so unbelievably slow to load anything, if it actually does. It freezes, trying to load events notifications is ridiculous. Almost never works trying to enter them through the event notification. You have to close the app and just load it through the normal main screen, and still either doesn't work (just sits there and loads) or it doesn't work at all... Like I said at the beginning, it's nice when it works, but this app definitely needs some attention.
