Reviews for Apartments & Rentals - Zillow

I've come across numerous rentals through the site that day they are open. However, I teach out to them and they say the place is rented most of the time after a short period after being listed. I've noticed inaccuracies and inconsistencies with the rental details and all other rental information(ie. average utility costs, if water, sewer and trash are included? Some amenities listed are not accurate on all listings (even typos that are senseless.RENTAL APPLICATION FEES ARE TOO EXPESSIVE..ETC

Probably the best of the apartment hunting apps, but still has frustrating limitations. I want a way to block 55+ and income restricted units from my searches. I don't qualify for these units and I want to stop seeing them. I want the ability to hide listings I'm not interested in so they stop cluttering up my feed and my search.

love that it breaks down the price you'd have to pay down to the deposit and exactly what day the apt is available. the only thing I hate is it's finicky and sensitive with the 3d tour option. the camera walks when I'm just trying to move the camera to look around and the search option needs to be more accurate. for example I typed washer and dryer connections and most of the apts it listed didn't offer them.

Great resource w/ updates on availability!

I didn't want to hire a Realtor. I knew I could use Zillow. When I first started looking for a place to move for myself and my family. I downloaded the Zillow App first out of all the others. I found us a place. On June 16th we got approved and our move is taking place next week. Thank you Zillow for all of your help. I recommend Zillow when searching for a rental, or buying.

pllllllllease stop auto shifting the map when you click on something or click off something. is there a way I can turn it off? it's sooooooooo annoying, I'm constantly clicking the wrong thing because it's shifting around so much

Good for filtering out what you do and don't want. Just not always accurate on pricing. Still very useful.

A great app! Appears to maintain current and timely into useful for decision making for all inquiries.

It's fine for what it is. It's not short on offerings. I just didn't have any success myself with trying to find a studio apartment that I could afford. The problem I'm having is that there's no customer service. At least not on the app on my phone anyway. Also, I've been trying to delete my account. Like 6 or 7 times. All the instructions to do so are wrong and twice it told me there was an error trying to delete my account. I'm not mad about anything, I just want to delete my account.*SIGH*

There are a lot of scam listings on that app . You have to pay close attention detail . Read thoroughly. I have contacted Zillow about that. I am disappointed - because Zillow is a well-known application. I thought that they would thoroughly screen their listings ; before putting them on their website ! I have spotted three scams in one week and also in the past .

paid for a credit and background check that Zillow said they would send to all potential rental properties. Well no one expects them from Zillow and want you to use their sites so it was a big waste of money.

Subpar Performance and too much repetitiveness needed. Every time something or someone updates a property it pops back up and has to be "hidden" multiple times. The problem is that the app doesn't actually save your changes or preferences, so you are required to hide those properties over and over. Not to mention, you have to go back in and adjust your saved searches with the actual criteria you want, but when you press back those all change to the original default.

Constantly logs me out and it blocks me from logging in when I'm out and about, viewing properties. Why?!?! Your security is way too crazy, it makes the app unusable. Also, lazy, flaky, and bad landlords are allowed to be bad participants without a rating or review system. Something needs to be done to get them to improve customer service or get rejected from the app.

Like a lot of people, I need to keep my kids in a particular school district. The app lets me search that way, but the emails send me nearby rentals outside that zone. It would also be good to have "contact manager" under "pets" as a search option, since that includes about 90% of listings and there's no other way to screen out the "no pets" listings.

Treats each apartment in a large property as a separate listing, so it keeps sending me alerts for "new" places that are just different units in a building I already decided I'm not interested in. Also listings have vague descriptions and lack details WRT fees & amenities. Oh, and the ridiculously high "rent zestimate" that always seems to be twice the actual rent, trying to make it look like a great deal. Know your market - don't count on their "zestimate" to judge the value.

Zillow sends me notifications for the same apartments multiple times a day that are way out of my price and search range. Like, please, stop doing that. If it's not in my saved search preferences, don't spam my phone with notifications about it. Especially when it's about the same exact apartments Every. Single. Time.

What is the point of having rentals up if nobody responds to any emails or messages that you send? People who do respond are also really weird, they don't bother to answer any questions, and won't meet you in person or let you tour. They also won't work with your scheduling and its whatever they provide and that's it. This app is super one-way and more for the seller. Lame.

If you like slow loading times, even on an internet connection, that zips along with every other app. If you're looking for an app that you have a hard time signing into. And if you're looking for an app that seems to ignore the filters that you input. look no further. You have found it. I do also love how many places aren't available that are listed.

App keeps defaulting to rentals that do not allow pets. I have my filters set to show only rentals that do allow pets. This has led to multiple disappointing moments where we think we've found a possible rental, but it's not the case. Another issue is that some rentals will stop appearing on the app. You can still find them on the website, but not in the app. Uninstalling.

I have to use the Google button to sign in multiple times in a single session, without ever leaving the app. I'll make a small amount of progress but then get error when submitting applications it shows applications in progress even tho there was an error so which is correct? I paid a subscription for this and its been nothing but headaches and I get the feeling its more to do with the google link stuff
