So here's my take on AR Drawing: Sketch & Trace. I've tested a bunch of art/sketching apps and this one's pretty solid. The AR tracing feature works really well and makes it super easy to learn how to draw stuff, especially anime and cartoons. And the built-in templates are helpful too. Not gonna lie, the ads can get old after a while, but you can pay to remove them. Overall, it's a good option if you're looking to improve your sketching skills in a fun, hands-on way.

Pros

  • Tons of AR templates and guides to trace
  • Projecting sketches onto real paper is a neat feature
  • Free to download and use the basic tools
  • Runs smoothly even on older phones
  • Helpful for learning to draw anime, cartoons, and digital art

Cons

  • Ads can get annoying if you don't pay for the pro version
  • Tracing takes some getting used to at first
  • Doesn't have a ton of customization options
  • Sketching can still be challenging even with the guides

Description

Been using AR Drawing: Sketch & Trace for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you use augmented reality to project drawing templates onto paper so you can trace them easily. Pretty solid if you’re into anime, digital art, or just want to get better at sketching.

Here’s what you do: you just put your phone camera on a stable surface, select an image, and it’ll show up on your screen inverted so you can trace it. There’s also a bunch of built-in templates and guides, which is pretty cool. And you can use the AR to project the sketches onto real paper – takes a bit to get used to but it’s a neat feature.

Look, if you’re into art and drawing, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the ads can get a bit annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job and makes sketching a lot easier. Worth checking out if you want to step up your drawing game.
