I don't recommend this app to anyone unless you all want to get charged for something... even after you deleted and unsubscribed from this app. They'll still charge you regardless. I'M NOT ON HERE ANYMORE ARCHER!!!

full of ads and fake profiles. any time you match with someone they immediately want to go and talk on telegram, Snapchat, Whatsapp and all these other apps instead of normal communication via phone. I'm not going from app to app just to be ghosted or asked for money. this app is horrible. no better than tinder or Grindr
it could be probably the best gay app, but for some reason it's not using my distance setting. so it's showing me people 2k miles away, making it unusable. if that gets fixed Id change it to a 4 or 5, until then, staying a 1.
Just after I subscribed, can't get access. Network errors. Odd. All my other apps work. Limited local possibilities-many hundreds of miles away Update. nice pictures if you want to meet someone 500 + miles away. And the distance filter is ON
The app looks pretty but it doesn't work. No matter what I do with the filter the options don't respond. Wondering if I'd only see my interests if I pay. Having to run through everyone not even in my area is frustrating. Searching would be better than this.
6/10 so far, 600× better than grindr. This app keeps showing me people who are HUNDREDS of miles away. even though I have the distance filter set to 50 or fewer miles away. other than that, it's a fantastic app, but almost everyone I'm seeing is way too far away for me to go on dates with.
The app has changed somewhat. I'm glad that I can see my likes now! But I'm missing the nice dark mode that worked well with my eyes and the theme on my phone. The light mode is a bit startling considering that the rest of my phone uses dark mode. I don't see any setting to turn on dark mode. The number of users on the app is still limited compared to other more popular apps like Grindr and Tinder, but I haven't had any negative interactions yet. I think the moderation is a bit strict.
With limited users, I should be able to see who likes me to where I can message them back. I refuse to pay that much for an app in such infancy. I would rather pay other more established monthly fees then one with a very low user base. Until this app get some more user base, it is a waste of time. It is mostly the same people across the same apps. At least the other ones have better options when you don't subscribe
Update: literally cant get past 5 words messages. The good: -I really like the filters it allows you to use to narrow your search, and it also gives you a lot of freedom when choosing your interests. The bad: -The layout isn't super intuitive at first. The ugly: -I get soooo many repeat notifications for messages I've already viewed. -I also have been in the middle of writing a reply and it will erase everything I wrote and replace it with a message I previously sent. All in all, good start.
Not a fan of the app! The functions of archers are very limiting and broken. I can't delete messages. I can't make chat replies, and I can't customize my preferences they are limited to only a few factors. Then theirs technical error where the messages glitch mid chat, so it keeps deleting on me and the other person gets upset, thinking I'm ignoring them! And then,for some reason my account keeps gets moderated for no reason at all when I did absolutely nothing. Very disappointed with the tech!
Couldn't even get past the verification of my face. Very infuriating, I tried over a dozen times, and I couldn't even get past the face verification, kept sending me back to the profile setup. Wanted to finally have a bit of a change and I guess I did, instead of being disappointed in the fact nobody I see everywhere else finds me unattractive, I couldn't EVEN MAKE IT PAST VERIFYING TO SEE THE PROFILES 0/10. fix your verification.
Obviously has glitches that prevent basic use of the app. I see a lot of people are having issues with the verification process, but I can't even get my 6 digit code to begin making an account. Edit: I finally got in after 8 months, but now I'm unable to verify. I understand the need for the feature, but whatever AI thats running it is broken. Definitely not giving this app another chance.
It's a fine app, but I find it so strange when you "x" someone once, there's NO way to see them ever again. A lot of times I've done that to a guy who looked cute on accident and never saw his account again. I don't see why there isn't a sort of "loop" system that shows you guys you've "x" 'ed out before. Gives you the chance to either reconsider or change your filters. Gives more control, and makes it so you don't end up seeing 0 guys who match w/ you 'cuz you weren't feeling any of them once.
The hurdles to join are a headache. Downloaded the app only to be met with a text to my number requirement which is fine. Then, I had to upload a face photo which is fine as well. Unfortunately, when it came to upload 3 additional REQUIRED photos they all failed to upload. I don't mind having these photos be req'd as it cuts out a lot of the undesirable men with nothing but illicit faceless photos to share. But, they need to get it together if they want it to work as intended.
I see the potential for the app, it has a unique set up. But it was pretty aggressive right up front to show off that two of the key features of the app are paygated behind the membership fee completely. This app feels like it is required to be paid for use, that even in a trialed period where I am trying to figure out if it will work for me before shelling out money for the app, I can't even access half of the interaction features in limited fashion even.
Bad. Verification never seems to work properly, photos (normal, no crazy angles, or filters at all) don't seem to have any effect on it because they vanish even when it does work after a few minutes. I can't speak for the app's population as a whole, but for one that prides in verification, it appears to have whole swaths of supermodels that I never knew lived so close! Don't waste your time.
The only thing I could imagine would make this app better is if I could sort and filter direct messages to see unread messages first. It's hard to respond to all the messages I get when they're getting buried by more new people, and a lack of a response doesn't particularly make me look like a decent person either. Auto-archiving messages from members who block me as a result of that kind of thing might help too.
It took me awhile to get it working but it works but even though I set pref to 40 miles, all of the guys are 1k or further away. Useless unfortunately in such a big city. I can't delete msgs. My preferences apparently don't mean anything. It's got potential but...WIP. I wish the app was totally free to use then if I could date a real guy for 2 months. I would gladly fork over $500.
The app doesn't ever want to open. Every time I click an archer notification I get a loading screen that doesn't resolve. You have to exit the app, force close, and then open the app. Every time. The notifications don't resolve themselves either. Open the app and respond to a message? The notification doesn't go away, you gotta clear that manually. They have an "archive" feature that doesn't work. Especially for the dudes who keep liking your photos repeatedly.
