once again, whatever you did with the latest update screwed something up. Now it is impossible to save the view so it is sorted by due date. The sort options from the main app just don't save, and they are not reflected in the android widget either.
Reviews for Asana: Work Management
Useful on desktop. However, simple functions that are usable on desktop are not usable on mobile Examples of bugs: - does not allow you to move sections around - does not allow you to move task into other sections - portfolios and projects not updating/loading unless you log out and back in - cant view the messages on the message board Conclusion: Use desktop
I really like asana on the computer, but this app still has major issues. Trying to type comments on a task is extremely finicky. My cursor randomly jumps around and it force-prevents me from typing certain characters in some places. Also the text editor is way too small and non-adjustable. (I'd submit a ticket, but sounds like that doesn't work either. Maybe this will) Please! Make it amazing like the desktop version!
Frustrating that I cannot move tasks on the list to other sections or reorder them reliably using the mobile app. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. often I need to swipe down to refresh before any changes appear. It's frustratingly unreliable and I often end up having to use the website or wait until I'm home on the PC to put tasks in the correct section or order. Disappointing really because I do rely on Asana currently.
I've always been a huge fan of Asana. However, the app used to lack a lot of the functionalities that were available on desktop so I stopped using it for a time. Now that the app is more complete, I'm back at it and couldn't be happier. Asana is a fantastic way to organize multiple projects and stay on track with all of them!
I started using this at the end of last semester when I was feeling overwhelmed. Really helped me get organized and get a clear idea of how to stay on track and finish strong. I'm currently setting up for this coming semester and it's really easy to build out each class ahead of time so I can just copy and paste once the classes are open. I like how it has calendar integrations so I get reminders.
I installed this app a long while ago, it automatically started a trial right away. I was unprepared to do a whole setup and missed the trial. Now I want to check the prices and features but when I click to learn about it, sends me an email with a link, that brings me right back to the app that yet agains brings me to the button in app to get the same email. It's a frustrating loop that I don't have time for, and I am not going to search for a pc that I don't own, for the extra effort. Lost my $
it's ok. the desktop app is better. it's nice that the two synchronize with each other essentially instantaneously. the phone app defaults all your new tasks to this annoying 'do now' category and you can't change it or change the default. so if you want to create 5 new tasks quickly on your phone and sort them into the proper category you have to do it all one at a time. the collaboration options are similarly limited which actually makes the paid version *less useful* than the free version.
Honestly, I'd been looking for an app like this for a while. I could find a planner type app to keep track of my homework, and Google tasks/sheets/etc. just wasn't cutting it. Now I can really quickly add and check off tasks from my phone home screen, and it's easy to remember what to do. Also, a narwhal flies across the screen when you complete a task, and it gives me the dopamine I need to get through the day.
Don't try to get support. I initially submitted a ticket 6 months ago and took 2 months for the first reply, my issue was never resolved and i learned they lied to me. Opened another ticket for a different issue, got a "how was our support" survey when I didnt even get a reply. Tried following up 2-3 times on each. They keep blaming it on a new ticketing system but they get some emails and not all? It's a joke. I've cancelled our premium teams subscription and moving to a competitor.
