From what I’ve seen and been able to do on my phone, it looks like it will be a very useful app. I would rate it a 5, but it won’t completely work on my tablet (if I tell it I’m really on a phone, all but the quiz works. If I tell it I’m […]

this app is pretty good, but is there any way you guys could add a way to make it play through a randomly sorted list of all of the words? Or to be able to mark words as resolved/learned so they don’t show up in the random list? Or to have a word of the […]
This app is exceptional for sign language. We have been using it for several years to help add vocabulary for our Autistic son. It is very user friendly and intuitive. I really like the videos and the ability to slow to whatever speed works for you. Customer support is also awesome if you have any […]
My hearing has always been a little off. My hearing is at about 60%-80% of what it should be. I have to watch people’s mouths along with listening in order to understand what they are saying. About 90% of the time, if I can’t see your mouth, I can’t understand you. I bought this app […]
Is there still no fee for downloading and using this incredible app when offline? 10/10/2023. I left the app on. Somehow it is functioning well again. Not too long after 11/2022. This posted 05/2023. Thank you for not charging on your portion of this educational app. I paid for one course through Meridith on You […]
Never seen some of these words. I like the quiz portion but more if it would quiz me on my favs that I actually picked. would be even better if she didnt say anything during the videos. I have to cover her face and concentrate on the signs. other than that this is a pretty […]
Excellent quality videos, the loop and slow motion replay tools are extremely useful. Could use a bit of an update to stay current, things like ‘Covid’, ‘pandemic’, ‘climate’, or ‘global’ for example. Overall though a pretty good tool for learning.
can you make a setting where I can write notes that help me remember each one. something that shows up like a caption banner. there are a lot of signs that I have a “and that’s how I’ll remember this one” thought, but there’s more I’d like to write down on some words. that way […]
It’s great having an extensive, clear dictionary like this at my fingertips. I consult it all the time. One thing I struggle with is differentiating signs that have similar motions, like SAY and TRUE or WHEN and ABOUT (those are simple ones but it happens to me with a lot of new signs). I’d love […]
App is decent for learning, but is buggy. Last 6 months my Favorite category keeps causing app to crash. Customer support only told me to uninstall/reinstall and restart phone. Told them I already tried that (as if I didn’t know to do so already) and then never responded back. Terrible customer support for a paid […]
If you want this app for the ability to look up ASL signs without an internet connection. This is not the app for you. It constantly has errors with the downloaded files. I have countless times tried to download the entire collection and later find out I can’t view the video files offline.
I am new beginner. Love the app But have to look up every single word. So when you hit the X to back out a word you still have to hit that box again for the keyboard to pop up. The angle of which is hands show is so straightforward that I have to replay […]
Purchase first with iPhone, then again with Android when switched phones. I asked and was told I had to purchase again. Unfortunately, all the better updates are on the iPhone none on Android . No option to cover mouth during quize, can’t rearrange favorites in order and freezes often. I also read there are improved […]
Love it! …even though “lizard” is missing (my toddler asked for that word of all things). Well you can’t have everything — you can’t even have “lizard” in your ASL app. Anyhow: Well worth the price! I just wish the app had an option to loop through a practice list!…and the word “lizard.” Edit: just […]
This app is one of the best I’ve found for asl learning individual words. Uses a real person signing which is so helpful. One tiny thing I’d like to point out is the categories lists miss out one or two words like under Colour there is no pink in the list even though its in […]
It’s a fine, very basic dictionary, but unfortunately, it’s not what I needed.
I am just getting started with ASL. I have two suggestions. 1) As a dictionary it seems to be good, however it badly needs a “Commonly used phrases” section (like Good Morning, I am hungry, How are you, What is your name etc.). Without that, we are just learning words without context and that can […]
The Best ASL Dictionary App here! I’m looking forward to having more words/signs added in the future. Software Studios, do you have plans on making a kid version of this with large colorful illustrations just so kids who are hard of hearing can easily know what the sign is for? I bought this app so […]
At first, this feels absolutely amazing. Then one day, I get the 1995 American Sign Language: Hymns for Signing and can’t find all the words in a single hymn I decided to try. Between books and the Internet, I’ve got most of them… Hymn 451. Try it yourself.
I looked and looked, and this was the best ASL dictionary I could find. I was happy to support this app, and it has been phenomenal. It doesn’t have all the words I look up, but that is to be expected. There is one thing, though: when I go to my favorites category, the app […]
