As someone who is trying to use this app to study, among all other biased reviews. I'm trying to reword every math problem in my own words so I can better understand the explanations. THE ISSUE?? Well let's see, the application explains it to you, BUT DOESNT GO ONTO DETAIL IN HOW IT GETS SOME OF THE NUMBERS, HOW it got the specific equations. Just "Oh take this and this amd you get this." THATS NOT HELPFUL.
Reviews for ASVAB Practice Test 2025 Prep
← Back to ASVAB Practice Test 2025 PrepUnfortunately as I was going through the app, there are questions that simply had wrong answers and/or bad explanations. It may be a well working app and has a great interface and all that but I can't study with an app that could give me false information and teach me the wrong thing. 2 stars for me
some of the questions were just straight up wrong and wouldn't give you the correct answer on their multiple answer choice, I am still hopeful though that this will help me pass the ASVAB....it does seem useful
I see this app as useful so I bought the lifetime option. That being said, I have already found and flagged two super simple questions that were very wrong. Such as 7+9 does not equal 20. And opposite magnetic polarities attract and do not repel. Hopefully they fix that.
Some of the questions have no correct options and explanations that are simply wrong. Ex. Question: Simplify 5(2x-3) -2(4x-1). The correct answer of 2x-13 is not an option, and the explanation to the "correct answer" relies on a negative sign that is not part of the equation.
Very obvious use of AI and is not verified by experts. One of the questions was a diagram of two ballons with +/+ charges next to each other, which should repel. But the "correct" answer states they should attract each other. The explanation states they are +/- but the diagram is +/+ so the AI misinterpreted the diagram and accuracy was not verified. Definitely wouldn't pay if such a simple question is incorrect.
For an app that is supposed to help with testing, you would think it would have correct answers. I took 1 free test found 1 answer that was incorrect mathematically. Did the question of the day and they didn't have the question set up right. Started another free test and immediately have a question where the math is wrong again. They are also asking for 5 stars to remove ads.
You can either take a test with every skill possible on the ASVAB, or take a test on an individual subject (helps improve where you are struggling). You can choose whether or not you want a detailed explanation on a question you got correct or incorrect. If you are trying to get a high score in the GT section or on the ASVAB in general, I recommend this app.
Good app. There are just a lot of incorrect answers in the arithmetic section. There will be a minus sign missing, an incorrect number used when they show their work, etc. A little frustrating as it makes me less confident in the answers for the sections where I'm less competent.
App has daily questions and multiple tests for different subjects. You can change whether you wants the explanations or just want it to be like the exam. Super easy to use. If you leave a review when it prompts you to you'll be able to remove all the ads instead of having to pay to remove them.
It help you better your knowledge but even the stuff labeled as "free" isn't free, if your willing to pay for it then I bet it is great but, I am just a little disappointed that the "free" stuff isn't free. Specifically when I click "take a free test" it pops up with the options to selcet free trial or full year subscription.
This app was the worst $90 ever spent. Many of the answers are completely wrong. There are errors in basic math equations. When explaining one of the word problems, it claimed that 8.33-6.67=2.5, but anybody with a calculator can see that it's 1.66. After reporting several mistakes I found, I waited 2 months and they never fixed them. Aside from the many mistakes on their part, most of the questions would never be on the ASVAB and some just don't make sense. Don't waste a single dime on this app
So far had it for a short time but so far good I think that it would be a great idea options for certain careers like if you want to be a paralegal specialist and you need a 105 Clerical. Clerical=Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, Arithmetic Reasoning, and Mathematics Knowledge then it would combine those and give you test based on those 4 skills or the CLs
The questions themselves are probably useful, however several of the questions are provided without listing the correct answer among the multiple choices. In other words several questions are wrong. Nevertheless, just having the questions at all is useful, so I at least know the subject matter I need to know. While having to verify my work using a 3rd party to confirm that the test maker, and not the taker, is the one making mistakes is tedious, it forces me to engage more diligently.
Great study tool but I've encountered a couple of exam questions that were either missing crucial information (solve the problem with the equation...equation would be missing) or are just outright incorrect (the "correct" answer on an assembly question I just failed is impossible. I've checked every source I can and it's 100% incorrect ) So I would use it as a battery of questions to practice, but I don't think you can trust the overall readiness score.
don't download use to be a great app I think but now it's all cartoon stuff and you have a pay wall instantly. 7 day free trial then asks for 30 a month to have "professional" help. it's a cash grab on resources you can get elsewhere for free. If I wanted to pay for asvab lessons just go to the nearby colleges some even do it for free.
I haven't been using it that long, but so far, the questions are good. The main setting I wish I could change is the number of questions for whatever deck I pick. For example, if i pick math knowledge, it only has the choice for 20 questions. Sometimes, I would just want to do 10 or sometimes I would like to do 30 or 40.
I did the free trial and it seemed fine, but I started to notice, many problems were incomplete, contradictory, or out right incorrect. I'm especially upset because I opted into subscription. A good 10% of the questions are not just useless, but can actually hurt your studies by giving wrong info.
I liked the idea of this app, so I purchased a subscription and began practicing. I quickly noticed that multiple math problems have incorrect answers. Even one of the Answer Explanations state "80 - 34 = 56". I highly recommend Kaplan's ASVAB books if you're dedicated to studying for the exam, and I won't be touching this app with a 1000 yard pole. Best of luck to everyone. Stay motivated.
The ease of use and organization of categories was nice. The BIG problem was that multiple answers are simply wrong. It would be one thing if it was only a couple of typos here or there. But this is a PAID subscription app and needs to have attention to detail if you're going to use this as a legit study guide. Very frustrating to run into on multiple occasions. One answer explanation literally said: "120 + 70 = 220" Don't believe me? Subscribe to find out!
