My first time of using AusweisApp but it is very good as it is userfriendly and self intuitive.

Easy to set up Ausweis. Switched from German to English.

not sure who they got for web design but so much of this does not actually work. frustrating and annoying.

It is so frustrating. I have been trying to connect my smart phone as a card reader with my Laptop. I installed the app in windows. App versions are up to date in both devices. I even made sure that I disabled "AP/ Client Isolation" in my router, though I can not find my phone on the menu "Available remote devices" in my Laptop.

Using the app on android as well as on Linux in combination with an android device. Works flawlessly in both cases, setup was simple. [update 15 June 2025:] I had a hard time finding the Linux version of the app for download. In fact, it wasn't even mentioned on your website. It should be proudly advertised! Please make it more visible!

Very difficult to setup and pair then doesn't work on laptop. Very strange way to pair. I gave up a few years ago and close to giving up again in 2024. Now managed to get my own name and address only! No idea where the pension data is hiding or the other data. I seriously wonder whether it is good to have access to such data on a mobile phone as an expert could steal all your data.

Pairing with computer is working. Reading an ID card doesn't. I placed it in various ways, under and over the phone, tried to match the chip and the NFC terminal with no success. No helpful related topics can be in their online documentation. Now I personally do not think this app should be entrusted with the online identification routines.

By identifying it does not allow to go back to Agentur website and creates an error log. I have already a Bund ID account.

It actually used to work in the past. Now, it gives a weak NFC signal message and can't read my eAT. Regardless of how I rotate my card around the back of the casless phone. And this is the very same Samsung Galaxy S21 5G phone it used to work on before! The problem persists upon updating to the latest version. Strangely, the signal was strong enough that it blocked my card PIN but too weak to renable it using the PUK! Now, I have to wait 3 months for an appointment to have this sorted!

Fairly useless, expected an alternative to carrying my id with me. Sad that it can't be used like that and for example in combination with DB navigator for train tickets
