Newest update logs me out each time I log in, saying that my account is in use on another device, which is impossible. Not sure what Autel messed up but it needs to be fixed.
Reviews for Autel Charge - EV Charging
← Back to Autel Charge - EV ChargingWorks ok, some of the interface is a little less than clear.. it took me a long time to figure out I could swipe to a previous month's usage history as you have to swipe in a very specific area. A history drop down would be nice for quick jumping to a certain month.
no chargers showing at all. scan the QR code on the wall and just show charger unavailable
Like it a lot. Some features could be "refined". We are using two different cards to charge our two vehicles and were hoping that we could learn which car charges how much. But this is not an option. As this doesn't work, a note option on the single charges would be helpful. Other than that we're happy with the app.
It's been pretty easy to use and a reliable charger over the last few months.
app keeps logging me out claiming I'm logged in elsewhere (I'm not, only installed on one device) login with Google never works, no feedback, just doesn't do anything. the password field isn't defined as such in the app, so doesn't trigger any password manager, no option to disable the persistent notification when charging, which just drains phone battery unnecessarily with real-time clock... also does anyone need an AI assistant just for their car charger?
A stable and useful app. Thanks to the developers for getting in touch. The 'alert spamming' would appear to be an Android issue and doesn't cause actual inconvenience. As noted, would be nice to have the time remaining +/- a charge limit. I inadvertently disconnected my charger from its modbus while exploring configuration options. It doesn't seem possible to re-establish the connection. It'd be nice to be able to export charge history data without creating an account.
App was just updated today. Now it constantly logs me out telling me that I'm logged into another device. I've never logged in with another device. Is there any way I can return to the old version...you know...the one that work? I encourage you to familiarize yourself with the phase of the software development life cycle called "testing." Just a thought.
Still locked out of using a normal schedule plan. No way to disable smart charging which uses power even when I dont want it to.
app worked reasonably well, was a little bit unintuitive but functional. however recently I was logged out of the app and am no longer able to log in. attemptd to reset password and log in via emailed codes are met with a "access reject" message and the app has no option to request assistance. very disappointing
Charger works great. The app needs some work. It keeps kicking me out saying I'm signed into another device, which I'm not. While charging, the units are not correct for the average power and Energy. Which makes the cost incorrect. The only one that is correct is the real time power.
Mostly does the job but needs some fixes: specifically it spams the system with notifications (literally one per second) while charging, resulting in my 24-hr notification history currently showing nearly 4000 notifications. It's also a shame we lost the estimate of the remaining charging time (requiring a manual input of the EV SOC and the correct total battery capacity)
I have push notifications on but they don't appear until I open the app. Forgot I was charging, opened the app to check, and that's when a notification shows up that charging stopped 2 hours ago!
After changing phones recently the app frequently states that the account is logged in on another device even tho the app has been uninstalled on the old phone. please look into fixing this issue. Edit after the latest update the app now logs me out immediately after login saying it's logged in on another device. It's now unusable. Please address the issue urgently. Edit: haven't had the logout issues for the last 24 hours so hopefully the issue has been resolved. thanks for the prompt fix
does not support the protocols it claims after the latest update. don't update until they fix the loss of load balancing 7/3/25 update. they said they fixed it but have not. app still does not support the protocols it claims. 8/5/25 update. 3 updates later still no load balancing or support for the protocols they said the update would fix 10/3/25 update. I've sent emails and seen multiple app updates. still doesn't support the features they claim.
App was easy to set up and connect to my Maxicharger Home. Seems to show useful charging statistics, though they disappear when it stops charging. If you leave the app for a few hours and reopen it, it will say the charger is offline and that you need to connect via Bluetooth. There's a button to connect the Bluetooth, but when you tap it, it makes a click sound but otherwise does nothing. At that point you have to close and reset the app. After that, it seems to work ok again for a while.
The charger works fine, and the data that the app tracks is good, but the app isn't particularly intuitive. My biggest complaint is that you can't modify the price on previous charge sessions. I hadn't set up the electricity rates as I was testing the unit on the first couple of charges, and the default rate is considerably more than what my power company charges. My other complaint is that there is no setting for seasonal rates, while my power company bills separate winter and summer rates.
very good unit. easy to use. have it set up so no one can steal power. sometimes have to reset that function as when I tell it to start charging it won't work. so I have to put it back to auto start. after a few uses, I can lock it up again. I still would recommend this product over all others. one thing I miss is you have to communicate through type chat. I prefer voice chat so you can clear up misunderstanding more easily.
Setup process for a new charger seems to leave something to be desired. After adding the charger it worked using Bluetooth connectivity, but the Wi-Fi was essentially non-functional even though it was actually connected to the internet. Turns out you have to set the OCPP server to Autel Cloud for the Wi-Fi access for the unit to actually work for remote access and firmware updates.
was excellent... and then they let a software 'engineer' play (update) the app, now it's totally useless. won't communicate with my charger, won't allow me to log into my account, won't reset or send me a password reset. useless. solved the issue, uninstall, clear cache, reinstall, re-register.... not too much hassle for someone else's coding error....
