Avoid! Not only do key functions not work, but changing vehicle is not possible without paying a huge annual fee with dishonest pricing (price went up 20% at final payment). Literally have to throw this expensive product in this bin as it's now useless.
Bought the device to carry around in our motorhome. Took a bit of head scratching to get it up and running. Before I had chance to use it in anger this app and the European data app have both updated and won't talk to each other. Have contacted Autel so can't rate it more than one at the moment as I can't use it. Will update when problem sorted. What they didn't say was you had to unzip the data file again. Stumbled across that by accident as Autel not interested. Up to three stars for now.
Bought this so I can do ABS bleeding and a couple other things. it worked for a couple months but now it will Bluetooth pair but won't connect the vci. Update, it works with the S22+, but not the S25 ultra. says paired butvwont connect and I have tried all the methods the troubleshooting said too and have not fixed it.
Absolutely wonderful app, product works like a dream and very comprehensive compared to other mobile based OBD II scanners that require you to pay a subscription where the AP200 does not. The app for android is very clean and refined. iOS is fun as it reminds me of the golden age of the aqua aesthetic. I very much want to lick it. Functionally, couldn't ask for better. This app works beautifully even on older versions of iOS and Android. Absolutely indispensable for diagnosing with precision.
Everytime I use the app, I need to reconnect and redownload the entire file for the specific brand Benz (not due to the update but due to a recent bug). Redownload around 800MB of data every time I need to use the diag is starting to make me unhappy by the service. It consume lot of my mobile data without reason, and delay the diag due to the time to download and unzip. Lot of time loss due to bug.
I use this on my BMW e39 (540it). It is very thorough and I can read and erase fault codes easily. It does not reprogram anything. I would give it 5 stars if it could do this: After selecting the model of the vehicle you offer a "save" option, yet when the scanner is unplugged, one has to go thru the whole selectio process again. Make the previousky "saved" models a selectable option to speed things up. Autel: if you do this I think I deserve access to the other brands from the library free. 😊
Sorry, but I'm having the same problem as others, installed on my new Android phone and it no longer works. It doesn't crash the app or the phone as others are claiming but whatever function I try to use, I click on and nothing happens. Absolute nightmare as my only alternative is to book the car into a garage to reset the DPF on my car, which won't regen automatically and is the very reason I bought this. It's been fine for 3 years but now would appear to be completely useless.
There was a glitch after the latest update of the software suite. The diagnostics has not initiated after tapping in the brand badge. However after updating individual data packages, in this case Asia Diag and VW Diag the app is working fine again. For the price of subscription I would expect few car brands being bundled. Especially in the case of VAG.
Everytime I now try to enter into diagnostics mode, it goes back to main menu? I have tried everything. I have just contacted the autel support number, and talked to them for about an hour and a half. Let's see if we get an update on the app to fix some of these bugs, and the problem im having.
Stopped working after the latest update. I did get a few replies from customer support who blamed an Android update, not the app update, and directed me to an apk site to download a previous non Google verified version which wouldn't install. At this point I gave up. I got a refund for the additional module I purchased (at £20 a year the most expensive app I ever bought!) but I'm stuck with the hardware that's not useable.
