Super buggy. I removed a profile, yet it stayed in a stuck state for 15 days with trades pending yet nothing I could do about them. on top of that, it says trades completed, yet nothing changed at all. They say it could be buying power, but that is dumb since you do not need buying power to sell. Things all around seem super finicky. The only reliable benefit of this app is that it reports what people are invested in. The autonation does not work consistently. Support takes many hours to respond
Reviews for Autopilot – Investment App
The only thing that would be an improvement is showing the cost of a portfolio before you add funds to it. That way, you can see if the amount you are adding and potentially making would cover the cost of the p ortfolio.
I sold stock 9/13, Autopilot removed those funds from a portfolio, then didn't deposit all of those funds into my brokerage account. Eventually a non-AI human said my portfolio balance is higher, but is showing as lower to me. Essentially, Autopilot kept ~10%. Update: It remained unresolved as I was blown off & passed around until I threatened to bring it to investment blogs & outlets. After I confirmed 10/6 that it was resolved, the money went missing AGAIN. Still missing nearly 1mo
Awesome idea, but the fact that they wait to tell you minimum deposits until after you set up an account & don't disclose the fees to use the core functionality of the app until after you've already invested in a tracker is incredibly sketchy. The structure also doesn't really make sense unless you're investing well over the $500 minimum. Had they been transparent, I wouldn't have set up an account, so I guess they know what they're doing. EDIT: The issue is the lack of transparency.
Started great at first, paid for the subscription service. Eventually the chatgpt pilot got removed when I tried to add it back. Most of their buying/selling is reflected 45 days after the initial filing in the SEC, although there are some that are instant. Latest update logged me out and when I try logging back in, I get prompted to sign up, which I can't because my accounts still on their platform. Thank god I didn't give them cash beyond the subscription or id be furious.
Customer service is not very helpful, it feels like I'm just getting generic responses from the chat support. There is no way to call and speak to a representative. I've emailed and still no response other than the same response from the chat function. There is no urgency to address the issues. Update 9/26/25 Autopilot Customer Support is not responsive at all !!!!!!!!! I've sent over all info and still no help. They keep saying they're working on it while I'm losing money.
Doesn't stay connected to brokers completing negating the point of having auto-trades. Have to keep logging into broker over and over every time you downsize app if you want it to trade. Also, it doesn't give you the option to view the password or password symbols as you type them in so you can't tell if you misclicked or not. This leaves you having to input your entire password again for your broker if you made a mistake rather than simply fixing the one symbol that caused the error.
I didn't mind the monthly/yearly fee if I was going to get my money back but it has been over 3 months and I'm down $15 dollars from when initially deposited money. It is mindless and nice that it tracks the trades. I believe there to be a benefit even with the huge delay but as it looks right now, I'm not making anything and have paid for what? Terrible.. down so much money. You are better off investing in good companies and letting it sit.
The monetization model is insanely sneaky. They only ever inform you sign up for a pilot and invest at least $500. Then they tell you the autopilot feature cost $99/year after you've purchased the stocks. Then after you subscribe, you have to pay the same fee for other pilots. So if you're using portfolios from 5 different pilots, that's $500 year.
Not feeling great about this, had higher hopes. I want a feature that let's me close the open trades when I tell it to, either at set percentage gained or manually, and waits to open new trades on the next window. I don't like holding for the entire window and I want to lock in those gains. I'm tired of seeing the gains drop significantly, I'm seriously thinking about cancelling my sub and doing something else with my money, maybe straight up copy trading with little to no control is not for me.
