After the new update pop up blocker is not working properly

latest update went a great way to make the app usable. worth giving another shot if you were having issues before

I want to give 4 stars because its crashing sometimes. I'm using Samsung galaxy S20+. So at least it should work without crashing. I have a lot of free space and 4gb free ram space. Still crashing sometimes. Other than that app is great 👍. Though it's crashing, I'm using it because it's secure. Security is what I want the most right now. Well done development team.

Open link in new tap should open it next to the current tap. The same should apply when using the plus sign. The plus sign in the bottom bar behaves differently from the plus sign in the menu which is not appropriate. Also, there are no buttons for backward and forward. There is an arrow button on the left next to the share button, but it's always greyed out. Also, you may need to move the share and add bookmark buttons from the bottom bar to the menu as they are not frequently used.

I also have the Avast Security premium app on desktop and mobile. I'm very aware of the things used to attack the people. In addition to my protection I use several other apps to catch anything that gets in through that micro size pinhole not yet closed.

Not a bad browser, and hopefully it delivers the security it claims to. But not for me. It's simply too slow. I've tried it at home, on wi-fi elsewhere and on 4g, and it's painfully slow, often failing completely due to timeouts. I have the other browsers that all work normally in the same places. The desktop version is better, but brittle and closes when it gets frightened.

I have this security app for around 2 years on my android devices with very much satisfaction ,and I hope will be for a long time ! THANK U very much 🙂👍👍

Hello, I have used Avast Secure Browser for a year and it wasn't a problem at first but lately it's been acting up whenever I try to search or open a website. It closes the app on itself. I have seen someone with the same problem as mine and I want to raise this issue and I hope it can be fixed asap,, I love this app and I hope I can change my ratings here again once it is fixed. I've tried everything just to get it started again but it won't work (restarting/powering it off and uninstalling).

I paid for pro ut can't login it says my credentials invalid. I can't find anyway on the app to get some assistance with this matter.

It is too slow than when using it on the pc. I will reinstall it when it walks as Google Chrome. For now I will use my Avast subscription to keep safe.

Been using avast for years and it was great right up until the July 2025 auto update. Now it's useless. Totally changed the look and feel. Most sites don't even connect properly now :( No option to wind back the update (which turned it to junk). Think it's time to look for an alternative app unless they do a wind back :(

Horrendous on mobile. I use the desktop client and adore it. The mobile version is a mess. Horrendous load times regardless of network, wireless or 4/5g. Half the time clicking links does absolutely nothing, Google even as a page only works every two or three times. You might as well forget about using the bar up top to search for anything since it just crashes your webpage you're already on. An absolute unoptimized mess that I can't recommend to my enemies.

App keeps crashing recently. It never did before. I have to switch to a different browser default until it gets fixed. I've never had a problem with an Avast product before. Disappointed. Update 2/12/2025: I tried this browser as my default and had problems with links that I would click on in my Gmail. I would click on a link, the link would be displayed, and after a few seconds it would return to Gmail. It would not stay in the link destination. I switched back to Chrome.

I've use this app for years and have enjoyed the security it offers but, over the last month it has started crashing and will not open i have cleared cache, cleared data, uninstalled/reinstalled, restarted the phone and checked for Android updates. Nothing has solved the problem. I have never had problems with avast before, I hope they will fix it soon I really love the security of this browser.

It's good but getting the pro version is definitely worth it. It's not expensive and it's a yearly plan so you get charged just once a year. Worth it! 👍 I would give 5 stars but It seems you can only have it running on one device at a time. Premium allows you to share it with your family but I'm single and I have 0 dependents. Praise the gods. Maybe it's just not syncing right but Everytime I use it on my PC it seems to sign me out on my Android and vise versa.

I would like to use this browser for its security features. But.... Any given page will only stay open briefly before crashing. Definitely can't trust it for anything involving forms, for fear of losing my input, which defeats the purpose of having a secure browser. Nowadays I won't even use it to read an article because it's too frustrating to start reading, only to have the page vanish mid-sentence.

I have been using Avast Secure Browser for a few months now. I use this browser, with its built in VPN on both my personal phone and my work phone , and it has been excellent! The free version has ads , but they aren't intrusive at all. I went ahead and subscribed to the very low priced paid version and it's been worth more than what I paid. I'm very satisfied.

Finnaly, I've found the perfect app for popup and ads blocking. It's also very clean, logicallylaid out and fast. I've tried almost every apps out there and this by far is the best in terms of ads blocking! The only feature missing is playing youtube in desktop mode missing the control buttons (back, forth, pause...) in the notification area and when in phone lock mode!

Super fast browser! I didn't realize how slow Chrome was until I started using this browser. It's a pain to change browsers, but bookmarks and passwords are easily transferred nowadays. I made the switch and my phone is running much faster, so I made the switch on PC as well. Highly recommend. The ad blocking is great, the privacy as well, but not so "private" that you can't access your fav sites or have saved passwords and bookmarks. Ps- I haven't had any of the issues other reviewers list.

I've been using a few different avast products for more than a year now, and I love them! They have kept my phone, tablet, and laptop virus free. Also 'pro tip' is you start the checkout process, then try to exit it, usually they'll offer you a discount on whatever you're trying to exit the purchasing process of. Like antivirus or browser security. Sometimes you can get yearly subscriptions of things like premium antivirus software for 10 devices for less than $20 for the first year!
