The only reason I gave 4 stars was because of having to receive a code via text every time you sign into the app. That gets a little aggravating when you need to look at your balance really quick. Other than that, the ability to get an advance when needed has been a life saver and the ease of navigating the app has been really easy.

This app sucks! I got arrested free 30 day subscription, it's almost been 3 weeks now and I've been trying to close my account and it won't let me. I've written support 3 times now and they have still not closed my account. They are SCAMMING me, when I manually try to close my account it says i can't becausac"new accounts take a couple days to be processed before you can close". AVOID DOWNLOADING THIS APP ITS A TRAP

Would give 5 stars but their customer service seems to consistently confuse themselves on what the issue at hand is. Although their service is usually quick and in the end gets settled, it's a bit time consuming because of the chat or email. Only service. Different agents will pick up throughout the process instead of having one from beginning to end

Yet another scummy financial app. I made the mistake of using a 3rd party to apply for a loan, and B9 somehow got ahold of my information, so I decided to check it out. You are required to set up direct deposit with them, which is not normally a requirement for loans, which is what I was looking for. They automatically, without even telling you, enroll you in a $9.99/month subscription. And then they have the audacity to say that they can't close my account because it's too new. Unbelievable.

I haven't even had a chance to use it because every time I go to search my employer it automatically logs me out of the app. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, I've tried contacting customer service for help and all I keep getting are emails and text messages saying "looks like you're having trouble adding your employer"... no resolutions! How can I add my employer if it keeps logging me out before I can even search?!

Not much of an experience so far. App won't scan my ID always saying it's to dark. I have tried every type of light possible. I have tried countless times, it just does not work. And I have been in contact with customer service. Talked to 4 different reps and they all say the same thing. Even the specialist they gave it too wrote back telling me to make sure I'm in a well lite area. I sent screenshots showing how perfectly lite and clear my ID was and still I only get the same answer.

Paying a ridiculous 8. Just so they can isolate some of my paycheck and cost me between 10-20 to send it over to my real bank. I thought app would have some good faith at least in taking a chunk out of each of my paychecks. PLUS I'm paying. Yet none. No choice for it. They want me to pay 20 a month and have 800 sent in everypacheck. Go figure. False advertisement. It's not awful, but it does not help you whatsoever. And will isolate the money into this app just to charge you monthy.

There are fees for EVERYTHING. You even have to pay a monthly fee of $9.99 or more (depending on plan). There are fees for taking money off to another card (minimum of $2.50 depending on amount), fees for using the card to spend anywhere, fees to add money, etc etc. It's totally not worth it. RESPONSE TO DEVELOPER: There is even a $2.50 fee for using the card! That's ridiculous! There is no situation where it's okay to pay a $2.50 fee for making a purchase as low as $1! Y'all are greedy.

This is the best app for getting advances as well as the easiest plus you unlock a higher limit with your next direct deposit. The reason for giving only 3 stars is because of the monthly plan that's required along with its ridiculous price. Also, because B9 is not a bank, alot of companies either don't accept them for bill payment or charges a higher fee when using them as a payment method.

Don't use. Very misleading. Signed up for direct deposits because of the perks. Turns out you don't even get them unless you want to pay for everything. Then on top of that, my check somehow got rejected or denied thru their direct deposit and I have to wait for a paper one to come in the mail. Tried to file a support ticket and THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME FOR THAT TOOO!! Dont waste ur time. Google them!

Has bugs, I keep getting "something went wrong." When trying to log it. That's not a good feeling when trying to log into your account with your money in it. Please fix log in bug as well as the Advance glitch/bug I keep having to setup my direct deposit over and over. Really not a good feeling when I can't login to my account that hold my money. Once those things are fixed it will be a good app but right now it's not. Really considering closing my account

This banking app is misleading and full of fees. Instead of helping you financially, it's more like a burden to you financially. Your advance service sucks. You guys charge $19.99, that's more than any other cash advance app, and you're only giving me a cash advance of $75. That's less than what Brigit, empower, and klover gave me which is $250 and their fees are less than $5/month. I got swindled by your advertisement that is I signed up for premium I'd get up to 100% of my paycheck.

As others said, they literally force you to sign up for a free trial for the paid service before you even find out if you will be able to use it. And they make you pay a fee to speak with customer service more quickly. Otherwise, you have to wait at least a day to hear from customer service about closing your account even though opening it was automated. It's giving scam, I'm sure many reviews are paid for like with a lot of these kinds of apps. I recommend Brigit & Empower, zero issues 💯

if I could do no stars and leave a review I would. I don't like that once you've started the process and back out that you're stuck making monthly payments, they're gonna charge me at the end of this month for an app I don't even use, nor used. I stopped mid application process, because I didn't want to split my paycheck onto separate accounts and now I can't even cancel my subscription!! Nor talk to an agent, says connecting to one but doesn't!

I just switched to B9, and I have to say that the customer service here is top-notch, and I've been really pleased with everything so far. I highly, highly recommend them!! Update: They are a ripoff that doesn't send you your debit card but then charges you every time you use an external account to access your money. DON'T DO IT! I did contact customer service multiple times and received form letters and a sorry, not sorry response each time.

I thought at first B9 would be different than other digital banking apps I've used. I was so wrong. I have direct deposit but still have to pay $19.99 a month for a "Premium" account. It's premium for sure, but in the way of costing me more instead of saving me money. I pay the monthly fee, but then I'm charged for every transfer I make. There's more fees than the monthly charge. It's ridiculous!

This app has a few...intricacies...that are tough to swallow at first, such as added fees when sending money to cash app, and the tip option presenting itself twice, which comes off as a little tricky. But after using it for several months, it has grown on me. The app is quick to update your available balance and deposits, the customer service is very easy to work with, and there are no petty penalties or restrictions if you are a day or two late paying back the cash advance.

Previously raved about how nice this app was. when struggling with financial issues 2 years ago. Since then, the app has become such a struggle to use and navigate. I'm plagued by notifications involving switching direct deposit to redeem cash increases, despite already having B9 connected to my employer. The app is truly plagued by bugs, or limited assistance through support. Plus. bogus wallet fees for using cash transfer services, since their personal service doesn't work.

You have to sign up for the monthly subscription if you want/need more than $50, set up direct deposit, and receive over $300/15 days to be eligible for any advance whatsoever, and the "tips" are removed from your advance right away after being selected. It's not a terrible app otherwise. Wouldn't be the app I'd recommend if you need advances, but it's an easy app to have some side money deposit from your paycheck if you need it.

1 star, because when setting up the account, they don't tell you that in order to get an advance, you have to move your direct deposit to their bank. It took me to sign into my work account, I assumed so it could see my timecard and allocate accordingly, but it was trying to change over my direct deposit! Thankfully, it's not that easy to do through my work website! I'm signed up for a subscription I didn't agree to. I'll cancel acct ASAP. *PEOPLE WHO MAKE 5K A MONTH DON'T NEED $ ADVANCE!
