So here's my honest take on Babbel - Learn Languages. I've tested a bunch of language learning apps and this one's definitely one of the better ones. The lessons are actually helpful and you can see yourself improving pretty quickly. It's not as in-depth as some other apps, but for just getting the basics down and being able to have simple conversations, Babbel is a solid choice. The speech recognition is a nice touch too. Only real downside is it can get a little boring after a while, but if you stick with it, it works.

Description

Been using Babbel – Learn Languages for a couple months now. It’s basically a language learning app that gets you speaking new languages in just 15 minutes a day. Pretty solid if you’re trying to pick up a new language like Spanish, French, or German.

Here’s what you do: there’s all these short, interactive lessons that teach you vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and stuff. It’s got a really intuitive interface that makes it pretty easy to learn. And the speech recognition is pretty accurate – it’ll let you know if you’re saying things right.

Look, if you’re trying to learn a new language, you’ll probably like this app. It’s not perfect – the lessons can get a little repetitive after a while – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out, especially if you’re a beginner looking to start speaking a new language.

a step up from the owl, but similar to other language learning platforms, you can mostly click through it and progress in lessons without having to demonstrate much recall or...
