So here's my honest take on Backbone — Next-Level Play. I've tested a bunch of strategy games and this one's pretty solid. The graphics look great and it runs smoothly even on my older phone. There's a ton of strategic depth without being overwhelming, and you don't have to spend money to enjoy it. But it does get a bit repetitive after a while, and the upgrade timers can really slow your progress down the further you go. Overall though, it's a pretty fun game that scratches that strategy itch.

Description

Been using Backbone — Next-Level Play for a couple months now. It’s basically a strategy game where you build up your village and raid other players. Pretty addicting honestly. There’s a bunch of different troops and buildings you can upgrade, so there’s a good amount of strategy involved.

Here’s what you do: you build up your village, train up an army, and then go attack other players’ bases. There’s also clan wars, where you team up with friends and battle against other clans – that’s probably the most fun part. It takes some time to figure everything out, but the gameplay loop is pretty solid.

Look, if you’re into strategy games, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the upgrades can take forever at higher levels and the ads can get annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you’re looking for a new game to sink your teeth into.

The backbone hardware is fantastic. Only point off is that it tries to sell me a subscription every time I open the app. I don't use Xbox cloud gaming or...
