Reviews for baklava: Arab Relationships

It's really buggy lol. Crashes randomly, textbox gets stuck below the keyboard, no likes on the android app for some reason?? Occasional missed chat. Still, better than nothing I guess.

Good app im general. But it needs to fix nearby matches. 90% it doesn't work even when gps is on and permission location is given. Also, you need to add filter options such as distance, religion, education. Etc

Very good app, i love it. But arab girls little arrogant in general. I noticed that if you have iphone you can see how many mile people away from you and you can see when last seen online. However in android you can't see that. Hope they fix it soon. Another thing, they should add the face verification to make sure no fake accounts

Extremely bad app. 1- Extremely buggy and doesn't register your location. Nearby tab doesn't open almost all the time. Why are there only 3 distance categories and how do they differ? 2- Why are we only allowed 6 right swipes per day? And how are we gonna get matches that way? 3- How are profiles in Most Eligible tab chosen? How does the algorithm work? It feels like this app was made for iPhones then poorly imported to android. 4- Multiple suspicious profiles and non arabs.

App Tracking 👎. 999 Tracking attempts in opening it once for 2mins. Use vpn protection for Baklava. Also the algorithm will stop showing your profile even as a long-term subscriber. Be a non-paying member for 3 weeks, and pay for 1 week, cancel and repeat. This company and its people are absolutely horrible.

I don't understand why this app hasn't been improved after two years of critical reviews about bugs and issues. I appreciate its existence as the only app of its kind (secular Arab app) but it is far less effective than other comparable apps. I don't know anyone who has had success getting matches on it. Subscribing to gold didn't help. I get notifications about matches and then they're not there. No location option. No filters. No LGBTQ+ inclusive options. Please take feedback and fix things!!

I think this app has potential but needs some work. Some of the problems I've noticed: 1. When you match someone, you can't see their profiles anymore. 2. It's not obvious how the profiles are being arranged - or where they are located geographically

Hiding information even if you are subscribed. It didnt provide location, not even state. It provided how many miles away from you only if you chose "nearby' but for those it didnt provide when they last active so could be they are for one year they didn't log in. For those active, there is no information about location, so you never know in which state they are. All other dating apps provides these information even for unsubscribers.. not good

A high school kid can develop a better app, it's missing many important filters and searches. On the top of it the amount being charged to be able to do very basic things is ridiculous. After the dissatisfaction with this app I have decided to invest in building similar app with much better navigation tools for fraction of what they are charging....Stay tuned

The app kept freezing and force closing after uploading 1 picture. Couldn't change any settings after that, and was eventually locked out for too many sign in attempts. A lot of bugs, and until they're fixed, not really worth anyone's time.

Lot of potential! I hope to use it again down the line when they fix numerous things. 1) doesn't update your location when you travel, I drove 100 miles north and the whole 'nearby' section was the same people at apparently the same distance from me as prior. 2) you never know where people are located or how far they are (seemed like most people it recommended to me were out of state) unless they say in their bio 3) you can only read the first ~20% of a bio, rest gets cut off 4) v bad prompts

Terrible app, literally every single profile is fake, good luck in finding a real one. All have fake pics up, pics of models and empty profiles with no info. Literally a handful of profiles in N.England which are fake anyway. Can't sent message anyway and the swipe system is very strange and buggy, have to pay to see any of your likes, etc. Definitely avoid

This app has a lot of potential considering it is catered for many middleasterners looking for relationships. Relationship being the key word. In order for that to happen, people have to meet. In order to meet, you somewhat must be able to search by location which this app does not allow this feature. So it's somewhat pointless unless you are looking for a penpal. Lots of room for improvement. I read many of the reviews and many echo the same thought. Include the ability to search by location.

Didn't know swiping up & down is the equivalent of right & left for other apps. I missed out on matches lol, and you can't rewind a mishap. Baklava has potential, there are hardly any fake profiles like other apps but it still needs work. I will change my review if they improve it & allow me to backtrack missed matches. I can't work on that potential because I cannot see the profiles again unless I pay, and they are 1000 mi away although I browsed Nearby profiles. 🤷🏻

app is very user friendly, simple and straight forward.

Needs some work. Can't see anyone's location Don't even know where the person is. If it shows it doesn't show visibly anywhere. You can like a profile and go back to it and just keep liking it. It makes it seem like the like isn't registering. This is in the section where there's people nearby, or eligible. When you like a profile there what happens? Because the like option just stays there.

awful, not sure how ppl are really do meet through this app, give me a break from your Mazza , craigslist had a better chances , dont waste ur money in بقلاوة ياحلاوة

terrible, scammers, expensive, fake profiles, no security, terrible service. I'm not sure if i should keep on.... uninstall and never come back...oh, obnoxious ppl its crazy. Laila, you have a lot of work and firing to do...

Necessary functionality is missing. Most importantly, location. How can you form a relationship if you don't know where the other person is?? or what's the point to match with someone on a different continent?? Many blank bios since does not require you to fill out. App seems unfinished. Needs a lot of work before it is useful. and they have the audacity to have paid features...

Definitely a ton of potential with this app overall. Aside from how buggy it is (e.g., crashes all the time), users should be able to filter people based on how many miles away they are from your current location. There's a "nearby" function you can use, but it doesn't work very well. Unless someone has their city listed in the profile, there's no way to tell how proximal they are to you.
