I've been using this app for over a year now.. every single night and then some other times. It's truly been a game-changer with relaxing and letting go for bedtime. My brain doesn't like to stop no matter how tired I am, but these sessions provide just what I need to let go, relax, and find some amazing relief and rest. I felt they must have faith in their product to offer that kind of promo. I've used it daily, 1-3 times per day, for 3 weeks. It is hands down the best meditation app I've ever used. I look forward to meditating instead of feeling like it's a chore or task to complete. I've gotten a few friends using it also. I'm hoping I'll be able to afford the lifetime discount plan. 🤞
I'm on Day 2 of the free 1-year trial. I love the guided meditation practices and the numerous categories that you can choose from. There's also an unguided option in case you don't or can't follow along with a guided session. It can be distracting for some people to hear someone throughout a 5- or 10-minute session. I've been going through a severe depressive episode and bouts of general anxiety. These last two sessions helped me to focus and mentally regroup. I can't wait to practice more.
This is ok for beginners. I prefer the unguided. What's preventing me from taking advantage of their sale is the lack of binaural beats to select individually, along with different sounds like crickets, water, waterfalls, birds, brown, pink, white color, etc. Sound baths would also need to be added to justify their full retail price. Until then, I will just take advantage of the 1 year free trial.
I just found what I was missing! This beautifully voiced (you can choose from 2 options) guided meditation. After struggling with chronic illness, pain, and losing a job this last year, as you can imagine, I have been struggling to focus. I also have ADD. When I completed 3 meditations in a row, I had the focus to finish my taxes and then write this review, so thank you. I have high hopes for these techniques and will continue to learn and utilize them.
Update: Bought the lifetime subscription. That is how much this app helps. There are frequent updates with new sounds or singles. Great app to use for beginners to pros. I would recommend a quiet SOS where you can follow the circle for a minute or two to keep your brain off of a panic/anxiety attack. (I can turn the volume down but during an attack it's the last thing on my mind.
I enjoy this app. The 2 meditation voices are both soothing. I often switch between them. There are several different modes/categories available. I especially enjoy the Sleep section. Guided meditations for different situations, as well as sleep sounds. The app is free for the first year, and I honestly never intended to pay for anything, but the more I use it, the more I feel like I'll be a happily paying customer at some point. Of course, I also don't remember what that will cost, so we'll see
Signed up for the free trial even though I didn't think I needed another app to meditate with, and I think I will pay for lifetime access whenever I can afford it. They have so many different singles, sleep sounds, sleep stories, and 10 day plans, and regularly add more. I have some singles that I use every day, like the breathing exercises. The voice overs are so soothing, I love both voices and often switch between them. This app has made me look forward to mindfulness.
Great app! At first, I felt a bit critical of the app, but it's really grown on me in the past 5 months that I've used it. I enjoy all the different situations in which you can try a meditation (eating, walking, sleeping, etc.) Great work. Looking forward to seeing what else the team comes up with. It's likely that I will end up purchasing a membership if the team continues in this direction. :) REQUEST: Please allow us to download meditations for offline use!
Signed up for the free trial on a whim, which I rarely ever do. Immediately loved the unique features of the app - huge library of meditations, sleep guides, and music; I get to choose the voice who guides me (Ofosu's sultry voice is my favorite) and the length of the session; and most of the meditations change slightly over time, so I don't feel like I am repeating the exact same thing over and over (this must be some AI magic!).
This has been the BEST meditation app. I got in on the ONE TIME charge, and it's been worth EVERY PENNY!!! I use it to focus on tasks at work and at home. I'm a teacher and use it at rest time as well. The one constructive feedback is. I wish I could schedule back to back meditations. For example, a three minute wind down right into the nightly meditation.
I've been using this app for over a year and bought the lifetime membership. I use it almost every day/night and find it enormously helpful for a variety of things, sleep, nap, breathing techniques, walking meditation, letting go, flow state, concentrate, etc. etc. There are so many singles and daily meditation plans to choose from and I love the voice of Ofosu - there is another lady as well so that you have two wonderful choices of voices you want to listen to. This is a super app!
Honestly, I love the quickness of getting into a session. Be it for stress or anxiety, this app helps you so much. Don't think about how ridiculous you may feel from putting yourself at the mercy of a voice telling you to breathe. Just give in and follow through, I promise it'll help. If one session doesn't work, go back for a second, third, or however many it takes. To your best ability, be mindful of the lesson and focus on what the speaker is asking you to do.
I really like the app and how many items are there. you can choose between a more masculine or feminine voice. I am doing the year long trail. it's been helpful with my masters program as I've been using the Pomodoro Technique for focusing on assignments that need to get done. super helpful! sadly I will have to pay for it and I'm not sure if I'll want to do that, but it is a great app. I've also used it for sleeping or getting to sleep.
This has been my favourite meditation app by far. The free one year trial gives you enough time to truely experience it, and see your progression and benefits. So much so I paid for lifetime access. I like the choice of voices. I like the range of different meditations. It's a really good number, but not overwhelming. And there are also the courses/packs which are great too. I use it almost everyday whether it be helping me sleep, and SOS due to a stressful event, or to help me concentrate.
Im not sure what happened to the app, but Im disappointed. Ive recommended this app to many people because I found it super helpful for me when I had the free year. I cant afford premium, so I no longer use Balance, but I do still recommend it and give people the free year share link. Now, when I open the app to get the link, theres a popup to subscribe that I cant close, when I press the back button to try to get out of that screen it took me to another subscribe page that wont close.
Legitimately by far the best meditation practice structure I've ever used. I've tried at least 5 other apps, probably more, and also books, youtube, and recommendations from my therapist, but none worked as well as Balance. The personalization at every step is remarkably helpful, and the very high quality of guidance, not too much nor too little, non-judgmental, supportive, and non-annoying voices have been life changing, literally. The only system I've been able to build a habit with. Day 70+!
This is the only app I have found that actually helps me fall and stay asleep. I have recommended it to several friends. I cannot say enough good things! You can choose different meditations from each of several categories, or do a series that helps you learn the foundations of meditation. The free version works. The paid version unlocks more options.
day two and I'm already feeling the change in my stress level. free trial gave me access to everything so I haven't looked around and seen all that available, but so far, I'm VERY impressed by this app!! I'm already feeling less anxious and if I ever hit a panic attack, they have an SOS meditation guide for on the spot needs. I love this one so much, can't wait to see what all I can get accomplished as I strive towards a more stress free life! thank you devs so much for opening up the trial!!❤️❤
Actually nice, the trial is long enough for me to actually figure if I like it or not and I gotta say I do. Will probably be paying the annual subscription. Ive done the apps morning meditations, night time, midday, self affirmations, the breathe of fire for energy. I've used the different soundsscapes, my favorite being the singing bowls. The variety is nice for whatever I need in the moment.
